Richie walked into the house and sat on the counter so he was facing Stan. "Richie." "Stan." "Have you been drinking again..?" Stan asked very cautiously. Richie stayed quiet for a moment not wanting to answer. "It was only supposed to be one drink. And then it turned into two...and the rest of the night is a blur." Richie spoke slowly and sadly. He knew she should've had self control and not be like his parents but he just needed a break from reality.

Stan sighed, "I'm sorry Stan." "For what?" "For being such a disappointment." Richie said putting his head in his hands. Stan rubbed Richies back, "Rich it's ok. And you're not a disappointment." "Thanks for everything." "Of course anything for you. We love you and you're always welcome." Stan spoke softly and laid his head on Richies shoulder.

"Bev I don't know what to do." Eddie spoke while packing a bag of stuff he wanted Richie to have. "Eddie look at me." Bevs voice was always comforting. Eddie looked at her and you could see the fear in his eyes. "First of all you should take the strings out of the sweatshirt. Second of all you have to calm down, I know this is hard for you but you have to be strong for Richies sake." Eddie nodded and had a tear roll down his cheek which he quickly wiped away.

"Bev what if he just doesn't get better." "Let's just hope for the best." Eddie took a deep breath and smiled while pulling the string out of the sweatshirt. Eddie made sure that's the sweatshirt really smelt like him to make Richie feel more at home while he was away.

"Which blanket?" Bev asked holding up a fuzzy white blanket and a fuzzy red blanket. "Red, he always liked that one better." Bev nodded and folded it nicely for Eddie. "What if he doesn't want to be with me after he gets out?" Eddie has been panicking for a while but each day it just go worse. "Eddie you need to calm down." Bev said putting her hands on the small boys face. "Right.."

Eddie couldn't calm down, he couldn't lose his Richie. He needed Richie, but he knew he had to be strong for him. Eddie sighed and grabbed the sweatshirt and blanket. Him and Bev walked to Bill and Stans house in a comfortable silence.

Beverly knocked one the door and waited for an answer. Stan answered, "Hey Bev. Hey Eddie." "Hey Stan," Bev said in a happy voice pulling him into a hug. They shared a hug while Eddie went inside and into Richies temporary room.

"Chee?" Richie was asleep looking so peaceful. Eddie didn't want to wake him so he laid the blanket and sweatshirt down and hugged him. "Thank you Ed's." Richie spoke soft and quiet. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you." Eddie said. "It's ok, this is the last time I'll see you for a while. I'm gonna miss you." "I'll miss you too Rich."

Richie stared into Eddies brown beautiful eyes and couldn't stop smiling. "Don't forget about me while I'm gone," Richie joked. "I won't. I couldn't not even if I tried." Richie kissed Eddie on the forehead, and Eddie blushed and smiled.

"Goodbye Chee." "Goodbye Eds, my Ed's." Eddie smiles and left the dark room. Him, Bev, and Stan talked for a while mainly about Richie but also about Bevs pregnancy, and Bills writing. They spoke for what seemed like hours, but Bev was feeling sick and Eddie needed sleep so the went home. All was well and maybe even starting to fall back in place.
