"Mama! I think I figured it out!" The little girl screams.

"Figured what out?"

"How the Captain and witch kill the Queen!"

"Kill, I never said kill. I said they would defeat her," the mother chides with a smile.

"Then, I don't know," whines the girl.

"Why don't you tell me what you think happens?"

"Okay, well, um, they give the princess back her sight and all three manage to capture the Queen. They make her fix everything in the land and then kill her," the little girl says with a proud smile.

"Not quite my dear, remember they don't kill her. Killing is a terrible deed that can't be forgiven. The princess could never forgive the Captain if he were to kill her mother."

"Oh," says the girl, slightly defeated.

"Do you want to hear the rest of the story?"

"Yes!" Shrieks the girl. She nods and quickly jumps into bed. The mother sighs and begins to stroke the little girl's hair.

The night was cold. Leaves tumbled from the trees in great waves of color. Frost bit at noses. Years have passed since the beginning of the Great War. The Captain was tiring after years of a hard war. The witch needed to rest and recharge her magic with the gods. But the princess, she knew not what happened to make a simple Captain hate the Queen. She defended her mother from behind walls and in rooms filled with important people.

Then that cold night, the princess finally stepped onto the battlefield. Her sight had been returned by her mother, and she was trained to kill. Her armor gleamed under the moonlight and her skin flowed in the night. The Captain saw her beauty, and after years of fighting, he knew he could not fight her. He dropped his sword to the ground, the sound of metal on rock echoed through the land. Everyone knew the fighting was over.

"But the Captain, he would never be with his love again," cries the girl.

"I never said that, listen. Don't worry, it will be alright," the mother coo'd. The little girl quiets and tucks into her mother's side.

The Captain was taken prisoner. He was kept in the dungeons under the castle. Everyday the princess visited him with fresh bread and water. And slowly as the days turned to weeks, she fell in love with him. And as her love returned, so did her memories. And after years without her memories, she remembered the months before the Great War. When he would give her gifts and goods. She felt a great anger at her mother. She vowed to now avenge her love as he avenged her.

"Wow," the girl whispered. Her eyelids drooped and closed before she starting snoring softly.

Hello Readers!
I hope you're enjoying the story so far. I've been writing away, and wondering if you'd like a POV change. Obviously I switch between Lilura and Everette, but what would you think of having one from the Queen? I think that's be pretty neat, but I want to know if you'd want to read that. So let me know in a comment, and I'll then try to make a decision!
As always, please vote! Thank you!

Love,
