Chapter 10: The entrance exam

The next day, hikoshi's eyes fluttered opened. She realized she was laying on something, different then what a bed felt like. She looked up and saw that she was laying on todoroki's chest. She gasped and sat up quickly, which woke him up. Hikoshi was blushing and todoroki asked, "Why are we on the couch". Hikoshi covered her mouth and answered, "u-um, I fell asleep and I guess you didn't want to wake me so we both slept on the couch". Todoroki remembered and started to turn red as well. "Sorry, I should have woken you up" ,todoroki said as he folded the blanket. Hikoshi calmed down and said, "w-well, I would be lying if I said i had a horrible nights sleep, that actually was the most comfortable nights sleep I've ever had". Todoroki chuckled and said, "Well I'm glad that I could bring you comfort". Hikoshi smirked and punched him in the arm, "stop it, you know what I mean". Todoroki then asked, "Well how do you feel today". Hikoshi smiled, "energized, just in time too I guess, my entrance exam is today, although I heard that it will be very different from everyone else's since it'll be just me". Todoroki answered, "I hope you do well, I would like to see you during school hours". Hikoshi smiled and said, "I promised to do my best, for everyone". Todoroki looked at the time and said, "You should probably get ready, your entrance exam is starting in a hour or two". Hikoshi gasped and put her hands on her cheeks, worried, "oh no, what should I wear". Todoroki answered, "I guess whatever you feel most comfortable fighting in". Hikoshi nodded, "I think I have something like that, are you going to be there to watch me fight". Todoroki nodded, "at least I think I should, I have plans later today that the school asked to do, so if I'm not there I'm sorry". Hikoshi smiled and waved, "no no, I understand if you can't make it". They both stood up and hikoshi said, "well, I'm going to go get change and head over to the school early, I want to find some way to prepare myself". Todoroki nodded and smiled, "well, I hope you pass". Hikoshi nodded and they both went their separate ways.

30 minutes later, hikoshi was sitting in a locker room at the school. She was looking up ways to better control her elemental quirk and practicing her fighting and reflexes. She was also going over the notes midoriya gave her to study so she would do well on the written exam. Not to long after she went into a room where you could see buildings from, and when she opened the door she saw people standing there. Ryuko, principle nezu, and some other teachers and students from 1-A were in there. Hikoshi laughed and spoke up, "so there was a party and no body told me heheh". It was silent until ryuko snickered and hikoshi turned red with embarrassment. She covered her face and walked over to ryuko and principle nezu who were talking. She smiled and ryuko asked, "Hey hiko, what are you doing here, shouldn't you be studying or practicing with your quirk". Hikoshi rubbed the back of her neck and laughed, "yeah, I already did that, I kind of got bored so I came to see who was going to see me fight". Principle nezu chimed in and said, "well I wanted to let you know that you were going to have the entrance exams like everyone else, but it seems you have gotten recommendations so we had to change it". Hikoshi flinched and asked, "wait, recommendations, what do you mean". Principle nezu continued, "you've gotten four recommendations, ryuko, aizawa, myself, and the pro hero hawks, thought you deserve to be at this school". Hikoshi looked worried, "but why, i-i don't deserve something so important, what if I can't live up to it". Ryuko put her hand on hikoshis shoulder and smiled, "You can live up to it, principle nezu and I don't do things like this just to be nice or because we feel sorry for you, we do this because you have the ability to become a great hero". Hikoshi was silent, and then hugged ryuko with a smile on her face. As she let go hikoshi said, "thank you so much, I'll make sure that I live up to that of a hero, I'll work harder than everyone else". Ryuko nodded and looked at the time, "you should probably go now, the written exam is about to start". Hikoshi nodded and said, "okay, wish me luck". As hikoshi left she took a deep breath. As she was walking to the exam room she saw endeavor standing up against a wall. She smiled walked up to him. "Hi Mr. Endeavor, you here to see sho, I think he's going to be busy later today, but I can let him know your here". Endeavor shook his head and started, "no, I'm not here to see shoto, im here to watch your exam, I want to know what makes him think you're so special". Hikoshi laughed, "sho dosen't think I'm special, if he did I'd be confused, I not special sir. I'd be more than happy if you'd watch my practical exam". Hikoshi started to walk away, "Well, my written exam is starting soon, bye sir". She smiled and turned away.
