chapter 3: finding out

At the police station, the police were interrogating the scientists but getting no where, while all might and Mr. Aizawa were waiting in a room. The police then decide to try to get something out of the head scientist and if they couldnt get anything from him then they would let the hero's take over.

The man sat there waiting in the silence for someone to enter the interrogation room. Then the door opened, and a young women walked in. She had red messy hair, with a green sweater and some jeans. She sat down at the desk with a cup of water and a clip board in hand. She smiled and handed the cup of water to the scientist as she asked, "would you like some water before we get started". The man hesitantly took the drink as she started. "So mmmiiisstterr, ah, shones, let's started with this question. When did you and your friends start fundings for your establishment?" ,she started. Mr. Shones then started, "about 15 to 16 years ago". She then continued with, "ok, when did you and your friends start the blood drives". Mr. Shones continued with, "um, about 6 to 7 years ago". She then said, "ok, um next, what exactly did you do that is illegal, hah sorry for this but they tell me hardly anything around here". He grabbed his cup and took a sip from it and said, "um, we had associates that would smuggle illegal ingredients from other countries for our test's at the lab". She wrote that down and then she sat her pen down. She smiled and continued, "thank you, oh, next question is why did you start a blood drive". He leaned back in his chair and said, "we started a blood drive to collect blood from people that had quirks, so we could try to recreate that quirk and create a brand new quirk for a person who is quirkless". She wrote that down and continued, "wow... so did it work? ". Mr. Shones answered, "yes, actually, but we are not releasing that to the public, in a sense you could say that the whole project was a fail". She wrote that down and asked, "oh, ok, so I'm assuming that you ran experiments to test this, so did you experiment with animals?". He continued, "no actually". She wrote that down and continued, "um, next question, so I snuck a peak at the file and i noticed they added something extra, it said that one of the U.A. Students "katsuki bakugou" had, unfortunately, destroyed your entire establishment, but they also found a young girl under the ruble, was she a test subject". He nodded and said, "yes, she is the only test subject at that establishment". She wrote that down and said, "so they gathered from one of the other scientists that the girl was 15, but that was all they could get. So, did you fund the establishment for her, how long has she been there and why". The man leaned in and said, "yes, I started fundings for the establishment for her specifically at the time, she's been there her whole life. I'm sure you saw it on the news, maybe you remember it, a baby girl with black wings was left on the side of the streets and then found by a scientist". The women then asked, "oh yeah, I think I remember seeing that, I was only 14 at the time, but yeah, so why was she in the streets in the first place?". He then started, "well, her mother and father believed very strongly in things like myths, legends, superstitions, you name it. So you could imagine that when their daughter was born. Not only was she born with her quirk already but her wings were black, so they immediately thought that the devil had taken over there baby's body. Then they left her on the streets with no remorse hoping to never see her again, and the next day my friend who is now my second in command if you will, brought the child to me and told me about her story. I was so intrigued that I started the fundraiser, aaannd here I am". The women set down her pen and said, "woah, that a lot to take in, the poor thing must have felt so betrayed". Mr. Shones then said, "well she doesn't actually know". The women then said, "well why didn't yo-... you no what, it dosen't matter, next question is, um oh, sorry but I just realized something while going over your answers, you said that she was at the establishment her whole life, but you started blood drives about 6 to 7 years ago, and you said that you didn't experiment on animals, so did you experiment on her, and did you force her or was she ok with that". He nodded and said, " yes, we did experiment on her, although we did have to hold her down in the beginning, after awhile she started to develop mental illnesses and wouldn't speak or respond for years except if she felt pain which was quite often, so we decide to start her on some medication to help with the illnesses and she got better, but she went without talking for so long she just dosen't anymore she just makes noises sometimes". The women wrote that down and she then asked, "so we noticed that she has many scars, some were burn scars, some hypertrophic, some even from lightning surprisingly, I guess one of your associates has a lightning quirk, did you cause these and for how long". Mr. Shones then said, "yes, and it started about I'd say 10 to 11 years ago". She wrote that down and continued questioning, "we're almost done here, so you had experimented on her sense she was 3 or 4 and earlier you stated that you had used the blood on the people with quirks to try and give people who are quirkless those quirks or brand new quirks, but you said that it worked but failed at the same time, could you explain that to me". He leaned closer to her and said, " listen, I trust you, i really do, I wouldn't tell all of this to just any one, so before I tell you this I have to ask if there are people listening or if this is being recorded, cause if this information got out to the public then villains would be after her to try and convince her to working with them, it wouldn't be her fault though, she dosen't know better, all she knows what to do is to follow orders". The women put her hand on his hand gently and said, "you can trust me, there is no body listening and no recorders". So then he started, "So, we were talking about some ideas for a new project we could work on, and my friend thought, what if we could give people with out quirks, quirks. We all thought it was a good idea but we had to see if it was even worth investing in, so we did some research and we found that it might actually be possible. So we got to work, people were so willing to donate for our cause to save dying people, mainly people with quirks, even some pro hero's decided to help. The reason why wasn't to help dying people obviously, so we gave the blood of the people who didn't have quirks to a local hospital and took the rest back to the lab, and then we got to work. Spending years working on it and testing it on subject 1189, until one day we perfected it. Now, although subject 1189 had been born with the quirk that surprisingly, is the same as one of the top 10 hero's "hawks". She also gained the quirk phychokinesis, which gives her the ability to lift and move anything with her mind effortlessly, and although that seems like it worked.... it didn't. We were all excited especially me, we were celebrating for a couple of weeks, everyone was happy and we were about to release it to the public.... when.... something happened. One of the employees, gus, that were in charge of giving subject 1189 food every 2 to 3 days was giving her the food when he noticed something about her, she started swaying abnormally, which she dosen't normally do. At the time he didn't think anything of it but the next time he went back, he noticed her sitting in the corner crying, he knelt next to her and he patted her on the head and left the room. This continued to get worse over the next few weeks until one day, I sent one of my other associates to retrieve her for testing to see if it was just her or was it the new quirk, but when she went to get her, she noticed that subject 1189 was standing there swaying and starring at the ground. Concerned, she walked over to her and put her hand on her shoulder, and then....". The women then put her hand on his hand and said, "come on you can tell, it's ok". He took a deep breath and said, "Subject 1189, was no longer subject 1189. Her hair went from her natural light purple hair to a dark purple, and jagged horns started growing from her head, her skin started to turn black, and then the subject grabbed her, the subject looked at her as it's eyes turned black, and then it gave an evil pointy smile and ripped out her heart. That women... was my wife and was the friend who brought the subject to my home that day. Many other employees heard her scream and rushed in to see what was wrong, they saw her on the floor in a pool of blood as the subject was laughing and holding her heart. They were all trying to detain it but it started to kill them all one by one, but luckily they were able to swarm it, hold it down, and knock it out, although it took 2 in a half horse tranquilizers. When she woke up she was back to normal, but we were still in the process of cleaning up the mess, she didn't know what she did until that moment cause she was a completely different entity, nonetheless it took it's toll on her rather quickly. After that the establishment held two subjects, subject 1189 and subject 615. We didnt release this to the public after we found it was because of the new quirk that we decide to call "freak show", so we decided to focus on learning about it. We obviously already knew that to get her back to normal she needs 2 and a half to 3 horse tranquilizers, but what triggers this "third quirk" over time, is when she feels pain, but not all pain, things like bumping into tables or tripping doesn't trigger it, in a way its like a defense mechanism that she has no control over. Till this day we've been running more experiments, to try and fix her, to make her better. So, there it is". The women was silent for a moment and then she said, " well.... thank you for sharing that with me". She grabbed something from under the desk and stood up. She grabbed the rest of her stuff as he said, "so where is she, is she somewhere safe and away from people where she can be monitored". The women ignored that question and waved the object that she got from under the table around as she said, "thank you again, this confession is going to be very useful, for your trial". Shocked the scientist stood up and said, " w-wait what, YOU PROMISED ME THAT YOU WOULDNT RECORD THIS, how could you i trusted you". The door opened and two police officers walked in with hand cuffs as the women answered, "oh, that wasn't your choice, i made you trust me, its my quirk. The cup of water that you drank from is how it happened, my quirk allows me to make anyone trust me by me getting my saliva on them, not the prettiest quirk but it dose the job. So before I gave you the water, I drank from it". As the police officers put him in cuffs he was silent. As they were taking him away he tried to pull away as he said, "PLEASE, please, you have to tell me were she is, she has to be somewhere where she cant get hurt and she can hurt anyone". As they were walking away she said, "she's at U.A. High school with the other students and hero's, she'll be fine". The scientist looked back surprised and yelled, "WAIT, YOU CANT KEEP HER THERE SHE'LL KILL THEM ALL". The police officers pulled him back and took him to his sell as he continued to yell.
