Corvus slowly opened the door and the I noticed the wavering sweet scent coming from Reina's room. Corvus and I entered the elegant room covered with a salmon pink striped wallpaper and a large four poster bed against the wall to my right. To my left was a closet filled with various fine dresses, hats, shoes, slippers, and other graceful apparel. The room was extremely large and the sweet scent along with the girly contents gave it a sort of comforting aura. Reina was just another girl on the inside not anything out of the ordinary really. It was my own fault I perceived her as something out of the ordinary or special.
Reina sat on a small chair brushing her hair in front of a mirror as she noticed us and turned her gaze to us. Her hair was messy and jumbled, additionally her eyes were puffy and red. Her eyes must have been fresh with tears.
"Pardon our intrusion Princess Reina." Corvus said kneeling and bowing to Reina obediently.
Corvus forced me down to floor with his hand and I knelt before Reina as well. With the weight of the young knights body on back and the sudden action of Corvus I thought my spine might have snapped.
Reina looked at us with saddened eyes. It was a if she hated to see us bowing at her feet as her body was now fully turned to us. I realized something. Corvus referred to Reina as "princess". I never knew she bore such a grand title. It made my stomach turn because I was unable to help a princesses state of stress .
"You may stand Corvus," Reina said to Corvus looking at him "You too Kyousuke."
Corvus and I stood.
She had turned to me when she called my name. Her face looked unhappy and stressed at the sight of me. I hope her opinion of me hasn't changed. Also, I had never heard Reina speak in the formal emotionless tone she spoke in.
"Why have you come here?" Reina asked Corvus.
Corvus seemed as guilty as I did for invading Reina's privacy. Corvus swallowed before he spoke.
"This knight was attacked with Anima Captionem. He needs your healing Princess Reina." Corvus said taking the knight off my back and laying him gently onto the bed.
"I see, tell Greyford everything that happened." Reina told Corvus.
Corvus walked passed me and left Reina's room gently closing closing the door. Now, Reina and I were alone in the room, excluding the young knight. Reina strolled over to the side of the bed and began to analyze the young knight. I joined Reina's side and used Magical Vision to see the point where the curse had entered the body. On the knights armor covered calf muscle was a dark shroud lingering around his calf.
"You see, the point where the curse entered the body is the most sensitive part of the body when cursed. Make sure you are careful when healing the curse." Reina told me.
Reina took off his boot and rolled up the leg of his pants.
"I managed to stop the curse from getting worse, but my spell started to become unstable." I said.
Reina looked at me with a worried expression. She had told me the dangers of an unstable spell such as combustion and you could even lose use of your arm. Magic really wasn't a toy. Reina's look of panic made me aware of my luck.
"You really have improved so much in the time I've been training you. Good job, but don't stop practicing alright." Reina said smiling.
Reina's look of terror turned to a big smile at the realization of my improvement. I know smiling signifies happiness, however I felt sadness from her. I started to hurt more inside. A pain in my chest had been growing since the day I saw Reina cry. For a moment I thought tears would fall from my eyes.
