Amelia swung open the creaky door of the now empty pizzeria. Flicking water from her hair she sighed.
"I knew it was gonna rain! I could smell it! But no of course I didn't bring a stupid umbrella! Hmm? Whatcha lookin' at? Never seen a soaked person before?" she exclaimed, glaring at the animatronics as she did so. Taking off her soaked black hoodie she shivered.
"Wow. It's freezing in here! Probably colder in here than it is outside!" She started to walk up the hallway to the office. She froze, she looked at the starry purple curtains where she was sure she has just seen a single glowing golden eye watching her. She swallowed as she sped up her pace. As she reached the office she put her soaked coat on the office chair, she smiled as she sat down, noticing the pink plush cupcake that was sitting on the shelf. She shivered as she felt a cold breeze blow down her back. Turning, she saw a small electric fan, slowly whirring. She lifted it up from the table to switch it off. Underneath she saw a small crumpled piece of paper, she unfolded it and read out loud
"Please do not turn the fan off - The Management :)" she put the fan down and raised her arms in defeat
"Don't you smiley face me! It's freakin' freezing in here! This is ridiculous! Okay, you know what? I don't even care anymore!" she exclaimed loudly. She spun around on her chair until the sound of the phone broke the silence.
"'If you're hearing this and you made it to day two?' Um, yeah? There wasn't any doubt, was there?" as she did the day before, she repeated the important points out loud.
"'Freddy himself doesn't come off stage very often. I heard he becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey, I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power.' What does that even mean?"
"'Blind spots happen to be right outside of your doors.' Oh great! This place is well looked after isn't it?"
"'Check on the curtain in Pirate Cove from time to time?' What? Why? It's empty, isn't it?" she asked, confused
"'The character in there seems unique in that he becomes more active if the cameras remain off for long periods of time. I guess he doesn't like being watched?' So there's four of these guys walking around is there? So, that means I did see something before then?"
She opened the camera and checked the show stage.
"Okay, it's 2AM and no one has moved yet, that's a good thing right?" she continued to flick through the camera until she stopped on the Pirates Cove. Peeking out of the curtains was a single golden eye, watching the camera, she noticed that the curtain was being held open by a metal hook. She swallowed fearfully as she rubbed her throat, imagining what would happened if that hook went anywhere near neck.
After a while she remembered to look at the clock.
"What? How is it almost 5AM already?" She hurriedly opened the camera onto the show stage
"Where is that rabbit, and that weird looking chicken?" She flicked through the rooms until she saw Bonnie staring at the camera in the store room "That's totally not terrifying at all!" she said, sarcastically. She couldn't see where Chica was, but she could here her clanking around in the room that the camera didn't work in. "Um. Where was I supposed to check again? Oh yeah! The Pirates Cove" she flicked the camera onto the curtain, she gasped as she saw that the curtain was fully open and the sign that usually read "Out of Order" now read "IT'S ME!" Amelia jolted as she heard a loud clanking down the left hallway. She leapt out of her seat and slammed down the door just as she was a large, torn, red fox with a hook for a hand, wearing tattered brown shorts and an eyepatch run at the door. As the fox began to bang on the door she heard its rough voice say "YaRr! W.w.w.weLcoMe tO th.th.th.th.thE pIRatEs Co.Co.Cove lAds aNd LasSeS! It'S mE! FoXy t.t.t.thE piRaTe fOx" it's voice glitched terribly, on almost every word. After a few more seconds she heard him turn and run back to the cove. "Oh god! What is up with this place?" She asked to nobody. Checking the cameras again she saw that Bonnie wasn't in the hallway anymore, and that Chica wasn't in the room, clanking as she did things. She span around and checked the door light. She saw that Chica was there, with her robotic face leaning up against the glass
"Are you en.en.enjoying the pi.pizza? I sure a.a.am!" she called out. Checking the other light she saw the purple shape of Bonnie leaning in. Amelia slammed both doors shut as he began to glitch up again while he exclaimed
"Are y.y.you enjoying your sp.sp.special day, kiddo?"
Amelia looked at the clock, softly sighing in relief
"Okay, there's only ten minutes left. I can get through this" she did her best to ignore the garbled speech from the two animatronics by the door as she watched the power got down rapidly, 10%, 9%, 8%, until she saw both animatronics return to the stage. She checked the camera to see them all standing on the stage as they were when she came in. As she put the camera down she heard the clock chime, signalling the end of the shift. Grabbing her hoodie off the chair she ran out of the building as fast as she could. "How can I do this for another three days?" She looked back and shivered.
