Yuri p.o.v
Why doesn't it surprise me that it is Futo? I can't help but think a bit dryly as Futo peers down upon us. Literally and figuratively. He scans the area quickly, a dissatisfied expression flickers over his face. He lays his eyes upon us and an ominous feeling creeps up my back and unconsciously squeeze Lily a little.
"Huh? Where's Louis-bro?" I raise an eyebrow at his demanding tone, but keep my mouth shut. Sorry, Ema, but I'm not taking this one.
"Oh, I think he'll be back soon." Ema answers obediently, oblivious or just straight up ignoring his rude tone. He sets his hands on his hips as he whines out loud. "Sheesh! What the hell?! I asked the salon and they said he went home!" He looks down at his, probably expensive, watch.
"L-Language." I mumble, too soft for him or Ema to hear me. Lily giggles softly in my lap and we smile at each other secretly. I scratch Lily behind her ears as my mind wanders off. Why does he need Louis, though? Is it for an important reason or just for a simple favour?
"Are you in a hurry?" Ema's curious voice cuts in, and a bit curious myself, I tune in to hear his answer. He side-eyes Ema as he huffs.
"Why should I tell stuff like that to you, two outsiders?" He directs a scowl Ema's way before looking away once again.
"What?" Ema looks taken aback by his attitude. I stand up, pissed off at his attitude and acting as if we're beneath him simply because we're strangers. It's a bit difficult to get to know each other if one of the party's refuses to. He doesn't have to act all chummy and play family with us, but a little respect and friendliness goes a long way.
"T-That's rude." Futo grows quiet while I swallow nervously. Finally, his eyes flick over towards me as he leans over the railing. I glare up at him and stand my ground. Instead of getting angry or cross with me, he changes his tune.
"You changed your hairstyle, huh?" His lips lift up in a charming smile. "Sorry, I didn't realize it until now. That you were such a pretty person, Little Sis." I look up at him, feeling wary of his intentions. Where does he want to go with this? I throw Ema a glance from the corner of my eyes, but she just watches silently our exchange.
"Nè, little sis."
"What?" It might come across as rude, but I don't really care about that right now. I should've corrected them in the beginning, this is becoming a problem. A vein pulses in my neck and my smile twitches. It feels more like a grimace at this point.
"Do you mind if I forget about it, just for now? That you and I are siblings?" Hello, no. I do mind.
"I-I do mind." Is my deadpanned answer. It seems like he can't hear me, or just ignores me, as his lips curl into a fox-like smile.
"Just kidding." He starts to cackle at his own joke. "You thought I was serious just now, didn't you? Unreal! Feeling like princesses, just with a change in hairstyles?" He points his finger at Ema, laughing even harder at her put off expression. "Hilarious!" Ema stares her own hands in her lap, looking disheartened at his cutting words. Before I can even clap back at him, wanting him to eat his own words, a loud ringing of a phone going off echoes through the tense tension. A little confused grabs Futo his phone out of his pocket, immediately accepting the call the moment he sees who it is. He turns away from us, acting like as if nothing happened just moments ago. It's probably his manager.
"Right now? At home."
...
"Like I told you, that studio's hair and make-up people have no sense of style! My big brother is way better-" He pauses, listening to the caller. "Oh, fine, I'm coming." When I glance Ema's way again, she looks embarrassed and put off. My heart aches a little at her expression. Futo pockets his phone and whines.
"Man, talk about bad luck that Louis-bro isn't here." He turns to us and waves, that annoying grin still on his face. "See you around, cute-but-flat Sis." He walks away. Lily cackles at my murderous expression.

I sprint downstairs, my hair is still damp from the quick shower I took. When wet, my hair reaches just barely past my shoulders. That reminds me, I really should get a haircut. The reason I took a quick shower was because I got cake batter all over me, even in my hair. It was totally Ema's fault. I even had the change my clothes. I put on simple, brown jeans, a flannel shirt and casual cardigan as I felt a little cold.
Ukyo was nice enough to 'warn' some brothers who were home that I hadn't met, yet, that there was another step-sibling they still had to meet. Ukyo is kind of sweet, maybe it won't be so bad. Still, I feel nervous about meeting more brothers. I really, really hope they aren't as entitled or rude as Futo.
I snap out of my thoughts and slow down at the last few steps as unknown voices meet my ears. Ukyo's head snaps up as he sees me coming downstairs. A gentle smile grazes his lips as he gestures towards me.
"Ah, Yuri, there you are." I smile nervously back and quickly step next to him to see the new brothers I'm meeting, like ripping off of a bandaid. In total, there are 8 new faces I see. Oh, my. That's a lot. A few stand out to me, like the brother dressed like a monk, or the youngest brother. Or the brother with a mole under his eyes. Or even the guy who's sitting all alone on the couch. I fiddle with the hem of my cardigan as I bow towards the my step-brothers.
"It's-It's nice to meet you, my name is Hinata Yu-Yuri. You can jus-just call me Yuri." The monk steps forward.
"My oh my, another cute sister? It almost feels like it is my birthday. If you have any questions, I'm sure we can discuss it... privately." Before I can even say something about that sentence, (we need to dissect it word by word, because really? I can't even comprehend it), he grabs my hand and presses a kiss against the back off my hand. I jank my hand back as if I've been burned and look up at him as he straightens himself out. He towers over me, and it doesn't give me a save feeling. At. All.
"Kaname." Warns Ukyo.
"I'll keep t-that in mind... Kaname-san." He blinks down at me, looking quite surprised at the sharp tone behind my words before smiling wide, showing off his white teeth.
"Oh, I know we're going to have a lot of fun, little Sis." He practically purrs. I huff before I turn away from him, his gaze never my back.

Afterwards, the introduction goes smoothly. Wataru (the youngest) is really, really excited at the prospect of a second sister, my lips twitched at that, though he's a sweet boy, so I can forgive him for it. Iori (the tenth son) sounds gentle and soothing as he greets me. He has quite a prince-like appearance. The same goes for Masaomi (the eldest son) his demeanour is calming and kind. He distinctly gives off the feeling of a teddy bear you had since childhood and got with it through the hard times.
Tsubaki (the fifth son) waves my way with a huge smile, the one with a mole under his eyes. He gives off a mischievous feeling. Azusa (the sixth son and twins with Tsubaki) simply gives me a nod and calm smile. Yusuke (the eleventh son) and Subaru (the ninth son) both greet me reluctantly, not meeting my eyes at all. The awkward bunch, huh?

After that whole ordeal of meeting 7 more brother, Ema and I finally present the birthday cake we made for Subaru.
"Wow! The cake is huge!" Exclaims Wataru happily, standing on his toes to get a better look at the cake. "It looks delicious!"
"That's incredible, Little Sis and Sis." I feel Kaname's heavy gaze onto me and resolutely stare at Ema, blaming her for the miscommunication about my gender. If I tell now them, it feels embarrassing, like I was leading them on and tricking them into thinking I'm a girl. I feel backed into a corner. On one hand, I really want to tell them so the misgendering stops, on the other hand, like I said, it's embarrassing.
"It is made beautifully." I hear Ukyo-san comment.
"It almost looks too good to eat." The soft voice of Iori joins them. Besides greeting each other, I haven't had the chance to get to know them (understandably), so suffice to say, I'm a little curious.
"Th-thank you very much, but Yu-chan did most of the work." My smile twitches as all of their attention turns to me. I don't want their attention, just a compliment is enough and move on.
"Y-You're flattering me."
"So cool!" Shouts Wataru excited and jumps with his arms with to me. Before I can fully register it, his arm are wrapped around me and his face is pressed against my chest. "It's awesome! It's really, really awesome!" His voice comes muffled through my clothes. I chuckle at his antics and pat his head. His hair doesn't just look soft, it also feels soft.
"Wataru, Sis And Little Sis made this for Subaru, so you shouldn't be more excited about it than him. Do you understand?" Masaomi-san corrects Wataru gently.
"I see...." Wataru sounds a little disappointed. He carefully releases himself from our 'hug' and totters over to Subaru.
"I'm sorry, Subarun." He bows. Truly a sweet kid, I would not mind to have him as my family. Subaru is a softy deep inside, I can already guess, as he just pats Wataru's head reassuringly.
"Having siblings is so great." Em-chan sighs willfully and almost fondly. I just shrug and hum, giving a noncommittal answer as I steel feel doubtful deep inside. But I do not want to dampen her mood, so I just keep my mouth shut.

"You two....made this all by yourself, right?" Tsubaki stares me right into the eyes before the flicker over to Ema, waiting an answer. I blink owlishly. Is he jealous because the cake isn't made for him?
"Yes, we did." Ema answers for the both of us.
"You made it....for Suba-bro." Yuusuke sounds strangely disappointed. What's wrong with people today? I want to put my head in my hands. I don't get it at all! I really don't get them at all! I don't know them at all, this whole family, I just met them, but it feels like I just got in between something. And I don't know what I got in between. But it doesn't feel good and I'm not sure I still want this. Maybe this makes me a coward, but I almost wish I stayed in America.
"I can't eat it." Yusuke cuts my thoughts off.
...
I want to go back.
