After texting Ema if it was alright if I left earlier, using Lily getting impatient as an excuse, I quickly rent the DVD's and stumble out of the store with them. Lily fishes my phone out of my pocket and with a bit of difficulty as I'm walking with a lot of DVD's, I search for the nearest café. Futo demanded me to rent the DVD's for him. He didn't specify though when I should get the DVD's.
"Shall we get t-those donuts, Lily?"
"Yeah!"

"C-Can I ha-have two donuts and a ma-macchiato, plea-please?" I stumble through my Japanese, hoping I spoke loud enough for the cashier to hear me as I'm trying to keep Lily calm enough so she doesn't jump out of the bag. Her name tag says: Shimizu. She has beautiful pink her and if I wasn't gay, I probably would've gotten a crush on her.
"Will that be all?" She's asks politely.
"A-And if it's possible, c-can you bring it to my-my table? A-As you can see, m-my hands are a little occupied, right n-now."
"Of course, no problem at all! I will also bring the receipt over." I thank her politely and turn away from her, not noticing the blonde guy behind me checking me out. I look around to search for an empty spot in this cafe and sigh in relief when I spot a perfect spot. It's a bit hidden from the view if you look inside, but from the way the seat is placed, you can still see everything if you look outside.

Lily jumps out of my bag as we near the spot and at my glare, sits down on the seats instead of the table. I shake my head and put the DVD's down on the table and flop with an exhausted sigh on the seat next to her.
"F-Finally." A deep sigh slips past my lips as I sink further into the seat. My feet are hurting a little.
"Here are your donuts and macchiato!" A cheerful voice singsongs while coming closer to my table. I sit up straight and smile back up at Shimizu.
"O-Oh, thank you!" She smiles and places the food and my drink onto the table. I reach into my pocket to grab my debit card to pay for the food.
"Oh, don't worry. Your food is already paid by that gentleman!" What? Facing her again, I voice my own thoughts that are written on Lily's face.
"P-Paid? By who?" She winks and comes closer to me like she's sharing a secret. "You see that guy over there with that blond hair and a nice smile?" I search around for a second, before spotting the guy she's talking about. I nod. Shimizu continues cheerfully. "That's my friend, apparently you caught his eye and he decided to pay for your things! He has a nice ass if you are interested."

I snort my macchiato and start to cough. Shimizu chuckles at my shocked expression.
"You're cute as well, it would be fun to see you around more."
"T-Thank you." She pats my shoulder, and the walks away with a skip in her steps. I slowly sip from my drink, savouring the taste and careful not to burn my tongue. I love macchiato. My eyes wander over to my donut. The donut is filled with jam, covered with pink glaze and speckled with rainbow sprinkles. That's why the name is rainbow donut, duh.,Lily's donut is just a plain one, as I don't want her to get sick. It's also one of the reasons why I don't allow her to eat donuts too often.

With an excited smile I turn to my own donut and carefully pick it up. The glaze clings to my finger as I take a big bite and from the corner of my eye I can see Lily devouring her own donut. I have to send Madison a picture. Picking up my phone to take a picture of the donut and my macchiato, I almost drop the phone as I hear a teasing voice next to me.
"It looks like you are enjoying your food." I place the donut back down before I turn around to face the guy. Bright green eyes stare straight into mine. I gape a little as only one thought enters my mind. He has beautiful eyes.
"Ye-Yes! Y-Yes! Thank you." His smiles brightens even more, if that was even possible. Then his next words immediately ruins my mood. I know people aren't malicious, it get's tired though. Day after day getting misgendered.
"No problem! You are a cute girl, so I don't mind!" A girl.

"I'm sorry, bu-but...I'm not a girl." It takes a second for him to hear what I'm saying before his mouth drops open in surprise. I look away from him, feeling nauseous by the sweet taste of donuts in my mouth, wishing this guy won't turn violent. Maybe that's why I haven't told my stepfamily, yet, because I'm afraid I'll be ostracised. Again.

"Wha...really?" He sounds astonished, like I possibly can't be a man. I nod, a frown tugging on my lips. I start packing up my things and Lily jumps into my bag, having already finished her donut.
"Yes, s-seriously." I just take my donut with me and finish it later. Lily gives me a worried glance. The guy shifts on his feet. He has a guilty and worried expression on his face.
"I'm sorry....can I do something to make it up with you?"
"No...it's o-okay."
"Oh...." The guy sounds so disappointed, my heart goes out a little for him. "Can I still ask for your number?" My eyes snap upwards to his face. What? He looks genuine. But still... To make sure he understands what he is getting into, I clarify.
"You don't m-mind that I'm a man?" He's shaking his head adamantly before I can even finish my sentence. It almost pulls a chuckle out of me.
"No, of course not! Why would I?" I share a glance with Lily, she shrugs.
"Give him a chance, he sounds honest about it." I stand up straight to face him and almost chuckles again. For someone who went up so confidently to me, he looks very nervous about my answer.
"A-Alright, let's exchange numbers." When his face brightens up again, I feel my heart lighten up a little.

Later
"You're late. How long were you going to keep me waiting for some rental DVD's?" I barely manage to not roll my eyes at his annoyance. Of course, not a thank you for me bringing his DVD's out of the goodness of my heart. I smile politely as I dump the DVD's in his arms. He stumbles a bit, not expecting the sudden weight of the DVD's.
"'Thank yo-you f-for bringing those DVD's.' No problem it was a-a pleasure." I mimic his voice, inwardly laughing a his surprised expression. He blinks before he starts chuckling. I raise my eyebrows in surprise.
"I forgot you weren't like big sister, I like it."
"W-We're different people, if y-you hadn't not-noticed." I turn away from him, Lily giggling in my bag, and start making my way to my own room. Footsteps follow me and I speed up slightly while grabbing the key to my new room.

Finally reaching my room, I quickly jam the key into keyhole and turn it to the left. Futo reaches me and with a smug smile stops beside me while waiting for me to open the door.
