Chapter 20: since when do you speak Japanese?

The fallout of what was meant to be a friendly game of football between two rival schools seemed almost too similar as last years although the only difference being that the brawling was started between the headmasters than the students before things got out of control, Wyatt had decided to spend the night at the school in his and Ava's old room in order to keep an eye on Rafael who was slowly adjusting to being human again as well as trying to work out Vardemus better. Since the plan was still for Ava to attend Mystic Falls high otherwise known as the school for humans in town since she still didn't want to go back to the Salvatore school while no one remembered her knowing that her memories of the past would haunt especially the ones involving Landon, Ava headed to Mystic Falls high on her bike while she thought of Wyatt living the life that they used to life together. Ava wore a buttoned white tank top, a long red cardigan, a pair belted jeans that were rolled up at the ankles to show off her dark red Oxford shoes. She decided to allow her blonde hair to stay in its natural messy state before pulling it up into messy ponytail with a red ribbon tied around it, she also wore light pink smoked eye makeup with a dull looking natural pink matte lipstick. As she neared the school, Ava hopped off her bike just as phone began to ring although she didn't need to look at the screen to see who was calling her since only a limited amount of people had her number.

" I swear this place gets more and more insane without you. Please can we work out a spell to bring everyone's memories of you back?" Wyatt said as he walked into his bedroom slamming the door

" I miss you too and what exactly is getting you all worked up this morning?" Ava said trying hard not to laugh as she walked her bike towards the high school as she watched the human students walk around her

" this school is just unbearable without you and Alaric here between Vardemus's daily anti human assemblies and Josie constantly going dark all the time" Wyatt said as Ava could hear him rolling his eyes

" and how is our fun loving, human hating, black magic loving headmaster today?" Ava said as she neared the bike stands as she grabbed the bike chain from her basket to chain her bike up for school

" he's still encouraging Josie and others to do black magic, he's calling it a special class for the elite but it's all crap if you ask me" Wyatt said pacing the room as he thought about the amount of damage Vardemus was doing

" what does mom and dad say about it?" Ava said knowing that there was still something that seemed off about the new headmaster although she had yet to have a chance to talk alone with the new headmaster

" mom is regularly arguing with Vardemus about leaving her to deal with the werewolves to prevent his damage from spreading and dad is surprising against him, saying he's only creating more prejudice" Wyatt said knowing that they both thought that their dad would be all for the new headmaster

" sounds like mom but not dad, although who can blame him after everything that happened with Greta?... how's Raf doing?" Ava said trying to move the conversation on as she thought of Rafael

" he's... adjusting, I guess. It's weird, he spent the night laying on the floor growling. Mom ended up coming into our room to try and help him through it" Wyatt said thinking about how last night was a long one

" well if anyone can help him then it's mom, no one knows more about you know what than she does and no one is more dedicated to help you know whats than she is" Ava said coding the supernatural

" ahh, you must be in human high school.... hey you should know that Vardemus caught Cassie in the middle of a vision the morning" Wyatt said knowing that as the eldest sibling that she should know this

" what happened?" Ava said heading to her locker as she realised that class was about to start at any moment as the thought caused her to roll her eyes as she realised that this was her life now
