Chapter 22: that's nothing I had to remember

Ava felt like she was stuck in limbo since she had decided to let Landon and Josie go on with their lives without interference from her or from the knowledge that she existed as well as sworn the others to secrecy which had created a lot of disagreement especially from Lizzie who still felt that Josie and Landon should know, despite the fact that it would hurt her twin. The on thing they did all agree on was the portal to Malivore should be watched at all time and since Ava was the only one that seemed to be free to do as she wanted due to very little people knowing who she really was that it should be here hence why she currently found herself helping out with Ethan to get the town ready for commonwealth day. Ava wore a burnt orange shirt that was partial tucked into her jeans that were rolled at the ankle and a pair of brown Oxford shoes. She decided to wear her hair in a messy crown braid that made her blonde stand out more, she also wore lightly smoked peach eye makeup with nude coloured lipstick. Just as her and Ethan were sorting out the decorations that needed to go up, her phone began to ring signalling  that she had a incoming call from Wyatt as she smiled at Ethan before stepping away.

" hey, what's up?" Ava said answering the call as she hoped that this wasn't about to be one of those calls that would end up with her running into some kind of danger which was pretty normal for them

" I just got a call from aunt Freya, apparently a certain Saltzman witch is in New Orleans asking for Freya" Wyatt said knowing that she would work out his meaning almost immediately like he had

" wait, Josie's in the quarter? Why? I thought Alaric said that she was in Richmond" Ava said freaking out a little since there was very little reason why Josie would decide to up and leave to New Orleans

" apparently she needs help with a spell, specifically a Japanese purifying spell" Wyatt said knowing that she would understand the type of spell that he was referring to as he knew this wasn't good

" like the one she used on Lizzie that got rid of Oni and accidentally brought back her memories of me. She's trying to bring everyone's Malivore memories back, isn't she?" Ava said rubbing her forehead

" yeah I think she is, she said something to aunt Freya about having pictures of someone that she didn't recognise and having this feeling that someone was missing" Wyatt said as he walked around school

" so she doesn't know that aunt Freya and Davina brought back our families memories of me or that you, Cassie and Nate never forgot about me" Ava said wondering how much she actually knew then

" Josie only really knows that you were here before and everyone has forgotten you, she just guessed it was because of Malivore" Wyatt said letting her know that Josie's informations was very basic

" how does she know that though? Don't tell me that Lizzie blabbed already?" Ava said rolling her eyes knowing that she had had her doubts about Lizzie knowing her secret since she had habit of spilling them

" no she didn't, apparently she read about it in Penelope's journal. You know the one that showed her whatever one was writing with those pens she gave out, she saw Landon's song for you and Lizzie writing about her memories" Wyatt said explaining how Josie figured it all out

" okay.... there's nothing we can really do from here so I say just see how it plays out and just deal with it" Ava said knowing that they couldn't just leave and run to New Orleans at the drop of hat like this

" okay, I'll keep you updated. I have to go, Lizzie needs my help with something" Wyatt said seeing Lizzie was giving him and MG a panicked look from where she was causing him to hang up the phone

" hey everything okay?" Ethan said sensing a change in her when she came back her station as she seemed more preoccupied and more in her own head than she had been before her phone call
