"...Click...!"
"Radio song on"
"Vroom!"
"It's so hot today," the woman thought as she steered her car down the deserted road in broad daylight.
"I hope that everything will be prepared by the time I reach my destination," the woman wiped the sweat off her forehead with a handkerchief, lost in thought.
Texas is a land of untamed wilderness where the desert creatures roam free. Only a few small towns exist amidst this vast expanse, and it feels like the rest of the world has been left behind.
Though, the woman seemed memorised by the beauty of it!
"It's perfect" a smile drawing itself on her face, unconsciously.
With a quick glance at the dashboard, noticing the gas tank reaching its limits, a groan escapes her beautiful dark lips.
"Damn it, here I thought I had enough to reach my new home" cursing under her breath until she noticed a sign on the freeway.
Proclaiming the nearest gas station in a mile.
"Wow, I just got lucky!" turning into the gas station, turning off the engine and filling up the tank to the fullest.
"Since I'm here, I might as well get drinks and snacks for the trip," she thought, parking her vehicle and heading off into the boutique.

...Meanwhile...
An elderly man, his body bound to a wheelchair, is dressed in an old mechanic outfit and a trucker hat that's seen better days. He leans forward in his seat, gazing out of his window with a mixture of distrust and curiosity.
Several months ago, in the dry, arid desert landscape, a team of skilled builders commenced a construction project. They worked with unwavering dedication to complete the project, surmounting the challenges posed by the harsh environmental conditions.
As the day drew to a close, the team members began to gather their belongings and prepare to leave.
Only one man had remained behind.
The man was standing in the doorway, using it as a shield against the scorching heat outside.
"It's hotter than two rabbits screwin' in a wool sock!" thought the old man, blinking his fatigued eyes "What is that twat doing?" while scrubbing his cracked glasses.

...Back at the gas station...
Entering the old store, the woman saw only a senior woman behind the counter and three teenagers.
"Good morning, ma'am," the woman said, which surprised the senior woman, who nodded back as a greeting.
