Harry's P.O.V.
I ran over to my window when I heard a loud honking outside and allowed a large, goofy grin spread across my face when I saw it was Louis. I didn't bother with a jacket since it was still hot out even through it was six and ran downstairs. When I got outside Louis was just getting out of his car. He smiled at me as he put his hands in his pockets awkwardly.
'Hey.' He said. 'Hi.'
I went up to him and didn't hesitate to hug him. He gripped back as he said, 'I erm, I kind of missed you.' I pulled away, 'I kind of missed you too.' 'Come on then, I'm going to take you to my favourite restaurant.' I just nodded before getting into his car. I sighed in content when I felt how cool it was in his car, but then I noticed he wasn't driving right away. I looked over at him to see him looking at me. I quickly wiped my face, 'What is there something on my face?' 'No,' He laughed, 'It's just, your seatbelt.' I snorted at him before grabbing the seatbelt and putting it on. He looked much happier once it was on and put the car in drive.
When we got to the restaurant I was relieved to see it wasn't too posh. It looked more like a casual restaurant which I liked better. We made our way inside and since it was a Tuesday night it wasn't too busy. We even got sat at a booth near the window.
'The sunset is quite beautiful.' I said as I pointed out the window. 'Oh yeah, it is.' 'Do you boy want to start out with some drinks?' The waitress said after appearing out of nowhere almost.
'I'll have Pepsi.' I said and Louis ordered the same. Once she was gone Louis said to me, 'Thank for coming with me Harry. I've been looking forward to it for a while.' 'Me too. I was actually surprised you asked to be honest.' He tilted his head in confusion, 'Why?' 'Well, I dunno, I'm just a waiter. I didn't think a big lawyer like yourself would-' 'Harry shut up.' He laughed, 'That's stupid. You could work in a sewer and I would still want to hang out with you.'
I smiled at my lap until the waitress brought our soda over. We offered her a thanks before we gave her our orders and she walked away again. 'I was actually surprised you wanted to.' Louis said making me scoff, 'Why wouldn't I?' 'You just, seem really great and... I didn't really have a lot of friends at uni.' 'Why not?' 'I just, didn't fit in very well.' I could tell he wasn't going to tell me why so I just sat back, mentally groaning to myself that he kept keeping things from me. I couldn't really complain I suppose. We had just met.
'Harry?' I snapped myself out of my thoughts and focused on Louis, 'Yeah?' 'I um, I want to ask you something, but I'm worried you'll be upset at me.' I shook my head, 'I don't think I could ever be upset at you Louis. What is it?'
He still looked hesitant so I reached across the table and gripped his hand. 'What is it?' I repeated. He took in a breath and let it out shakily, 'The first time I joined Dan at the restaurant and you spilled the tea in my lap, do you remember?' I nodded, feeling a little silly with myself. 'Well, you spilled it because Dan asked you a question. And I wanted to know the answer to it.'
I was completely confused because I didn't remember what question he had asked me. I remember he had said something that startled me, but couldn't recall what it was. I tried to think back to what he could've asked me that would cause me to spill hot tea all over Louis. my eyes widened when I remembered. So Styles, still gay huh? I immediately let go of Louis' hand.
'Oh.' I finally said, but it came out as a squeaky mess, 'T-That.' What would Louis say? Would he hate me? Would he not want to be around me anymore? 'Is the answer yes?' He asked curiously and he was the one to take my hand this time. I sighed, 'Yeah, the answer is yes. That's why Mr. Deakin gives me such a hard time. I dunno, he seems to like me but it's almost-' 'Though love?' Louis finished my thought. 'Yeah. How did you-?' I stopped myself this time when I realized it. Louis was sitting with his eyebrows raised cheekily. I smirked at him, 'You're an asshole you know that?' 'What?!' He laughed. 'Yeah! You had me panicking that you were going to hate me when you're just the same.' He scoffed at me, 'Harry, I knew what the answer was the first day I met you. I just wanted to make sure.'
