Extended Summary

Kailani Hale is still upset about having to leave the great city Honolulu, and move to another island, in the state of Michigan.
Misery Bay, will it be as miserable as the name? Or will she find new friends, family and something even greater?
The Hales had to move, their mother Nani lost her job and because of the lack of income, they lost their home.
When a strange woman offers Nani a job as a wildlife/Rescue veterinarian, they weren't in a position to say no. With the job comes to a nice two-story house and a share in the fifty acres they have for the animals.

Kailani soon meets Penny O'Hare, the youngest kid of the other family that Co-Owns the animal rescue. But soon after meeting strange things start to happen. The animals in the rescue have taken a strange liking to Kailani and even Penny, who has never been good with animals.

But things get even stranger when the King's show up. Four kids also newly made orphan's, Milo the oldest has been doing plane tours since he got his pilot license at Seventeen. So when he received a job offer to create his own tour company, a place to let his younger Half Siblings have a good life? How can he say no? But his youngest brother Killian has started acting weird. Killian has always been scared of heights, wanting nothing to do with the business. But soon after Meeting Kailani and Penny, he starts to take interest in flying.

The Grey's have lived in Misery Bay their whole life, they own the biggest Glass Company in the town. Most of the dishes in Misery Bay were made by the Greys. But Ty, the middle child doesn't really like it. He's fine working there, but he feels in his bones that there is more in life.
After he meets Kailani, Penny, and Killian he starts to crave being around flames, and strangely enough, the heat doesn't bother him. Like at all.

Fate Loss isn't the oldest or the youngest or even the middle child. She's just there. Her older Brothers are both life Guards and her and her younger sister are training to be life Guards, they also run the watchtower when their not training. Water doesn't bother her, but after she meets the others she starts to work harder. Needing to be around water or else she starts getting itchy and angry.
