Chapter Three - Friends and Fainting

The next morning Penny I woke up to Keni shouting at us.

"Wake up! It's payday!" He said pulling the blanket away from us.

"Holy shit. It's cold. Keni why?" I whined trying to grab the blanket away from his hands.

"No it's time to get up. It's payday and mom is giving us all the day off. She wants us to go explore the town." Keni said loudly and excited.

I groaned and sat up. "Payday? We barely worked for three hours. What are we getting paid? Like twenty dollars?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

Keni laughed "They're paying us a full day. To compensate for the loss of our stuff." He explained quickly. "We'll meet you both outside, Keanu is ready to go so hurry up." He said before leaving.

Penny followed and left me to get dressed.
After I changed into a loose pink shirt and ripped jeans I quickly made my way outside.
Limping slightly, my ankle still aching from last night.

Everyone stood around mom's car, laughing and joking. "Hey guys. Good morning." I said smiling at them as I joined them.

"Hey. You ready?" Keanu asked. When I nodded everyone loaded up.

"So what do you guys want to do first?" Keanu asked, as he drove into town.

"Breakfast?" Keni asked as his stomach rumbles loudly.

"Ooh we can go to Granny's." Royale said. When no one complained he gave Keanu directions.

When we pulled up to a small dinner right off the main road. Penny and Copper rushed into the building to grab 'the best seats'. Causing Royale to roll his eyes and slowly followed them.

"Here. You both have about sixty dollars. Mom suggested to try to save some but we get paid again on Friday. So it doesn't really matter." Keanu said handing Keni and I each a blue credit card.

Keni snatched his and waved it around. "Look! It even has my name on it!" He said excitedly.

I laughed and shook my head. "Come on dork." I said ruffling his hair.

When we entered Granny's we saw the three gingers sitting in a booth near the back of the dinner.

Keni and I sat next to Penny on one side and Keanu sat next to Copper and Royale on the other side.

A nice waitress came over and took our order.

"Can I have like six pancakes?" Keni asked placing his menu down.

The waitress laughed and nodded.

"I'll just have an iced coffee." I said politely handing her the menu.

"Not hungry?" Royale asked.
"I can't eat in the morning." I explained as the waitress left. "I get super sick."

He nodded "Penny is the same way."
"I just drink apple juice. It's actually better then coffee. Wakes you up quicker." Penny said smiling. "Tastes better too."

After breakfast we decided to go shopping for a bit.
We spilt up, and said to meet up in front of the plane tour company in an hour.

Penny and I went by Smoaks, to see if Emilie still wanted to get lunch later.

After Emilie said yes, we left and just explored some of the smaller shops.

Once the hour was up we met up the the others, at the plane place. Which I learned is actually called Kings' Planes.

We quickly put our things away in the car. Well actually Penny and the boys did. I didn't buy anything. So I had nothing to put away.

While we were waiting for our turn on the plane, a really friendly black and white puppy showed up.
