In which a laker falls for his teammates god sister.....
~When you feel it in your body
You found somebody who makes you change your ways
Like hanging with your crew
Said you act like you're ready
But you don't really know
And everything in your pas...
I laughed and almost spit out my drink as I listened to my dad argue with my uncle over which gangster movie was better Scar Face or The Godfather as the distinctive voice and booming Go-Go beat of Chuck Brown blasted through the outdoor speakers.
"I should kick ya' ass outta my house for that dumb shit that just came out ya' mouth! Michael Corleone would wipe the floor with Tony Montana's ass!" My dad's loud southern accent boomed through our backyard as he, a few of my uncles, and some cousins congregated on our back porch.

Me, Brandon, and the girls flew in yesterday and my parents decided to have a few people over for a cookout to welcome us back. Since I started school and my internship I haven't been able to visit much in the past 2 years besides major holidays so it's nice to get the chance to spend time with my family. Brandon decided to come early with me and the girls since he already has a room here at my parents house.
As the laughter died my dad's older brother, Uncle Mike turned to me making me sigh because I knew he was about to start some shit. Every time I come home it's like a nonstop interrogation from my aunts and uncles; since I stay quiet nobody knows my business no matter how hard they try I always just keep my mouth shut.
"So Dre Dre I heard from a certain somebody that ya' lil friend Kelvin from LA gon' be here next weekend." He said with a smirk making me look to my right and glare at Brandon who suddenly seemed real interested in his drink.

"Snitch." I mumbled before turning back to Uncle Mike.
"His name is Kyle not Kelvin, and he's not my friend, he's my boyfriend." I sighed wanting this conversation to be over.
I already spoke to my parents about Kuz last night and Brandon gave them the rundown about him; so far they seemed to like what they've heard about him so I'm not worried about how things will go when they meet. What I am worried about is how the rest of my family will react, they are some of the nosiest people you will ever meet and some of the pettiest; just about all of them are slick at the mouth so I know they might give Kyle a hard time like they've done to all of my cousins boyfriends, which is why the only people I told about our relationship were my parents.
