17: Little Friends, Big Mistakes

"Baby," you called. "Are you so busy playing with your new toys that you can't say hi to your mommy?"

You crossed your arms and acted like you were hurt so she ran to you and hugged your legs. You picked her up in your arms and kissed her cheek, "My little princess. Want to go out with all of us together?"

"Where?" She asked.

"To eat something together. Like the happy family that we are."

She nodded excitedly as Jimin smiled walking up in front of you, "We should buy some food and eat at the park."

"Sure. That's Mina's favorite place after all," you chuckled. You all walked out and bought a few things to eat. You went over to the park and sat on a bench.

"Mina, are you hungry or do you want to go play?" You asked and she pointed at the park. "Fine go play. But come back to eat."

You on the other hand were indeed hungry. When you and Jimin finished eating he threw the leftovers away in the trash and then came back to you. He sat next to you and held your hand making you face him.

"I'm so happy right now, baby," he smiled. "I have such a wonderful girlfriend with me. You make me so happy."

"You make me happy."

You looked over at Mina and noticed she was playing with a friend. It was the same friend from her preschool. It looked like her parents came by and were telling her that it was time to leave. You looked at the lady who was holding the little girl's hand and widened your eyes. Suddenly you started coughing uncontrollably.

"Baby are you okay?" Jimin asked but you shook your head. Once you stopped coughing, you stood up and walked to Mina leaving him confused but walking after you.

"Mina, come with me. It's time to eat."

"Mommy look!" She said as she pointed to the little girl in front of her. "It's my friend!"

You tried to not turn to the other side but as you did the lady holding the little girl's hand looked at you shocked and said, "Y/n?"

You picked up Mina as Jimin was looking confused.

"That's not me. I'm sorry," you denied but she stopped you from leaving.

"From high school. Remember me? It's Chaewon," she said. Jimin was still confused as you still didn't face her.

"Jimin, take Mina to eat with you," you said, handing Mina over to him. He picked her up and took her back to the bench.

"What is it?" You asked with your arms crossed. "Why are you with him?"

"I-Is that your daughter?" The guy asked, scared.

"Your daughter? You mean our daughter? Yes. Want to pay child support now? God knows I'm not letting you close to my child so tell me. What are you going to do?" You asked and he gulped standing behind Chaewon. You turned to Chaewon confused. "Why are you with him? With this piece of junk."

"Mommy," the little girl, Angie, said. She was scared of what was happening since she was tugging on the dress of her mom.

"Look, go with daddy," Chaewon said as the little girl left with the guy.

"She's like Mina's age! How are you a mother? You beat me up when I was pregnant and gave birth! You weren't pregnant back then too or what? What the fuck, Chaewon?!"

"Look, Y/n relax alright?" She said as if the situation wasn't a big deal. "I was four months pregnant with her when I did that to you but I tried to hide it well because I didn't want people thinking of me the same thing they thought of you!"

"I-Is she his child?"

She nodded. Your hands turned into fists all of a sudden as you yelled, "Right after I was used! You decided to go back to that garbage of a human and fuck him! What's wrong with you?! And then call me a slut for being pregnant and make me almost die because of you and your jealousy!"

"What you should've done is never have that child of yours!" She yelled. "You are ruining my life with him!"

You couldn't stand it anymore and slapped her face, "Your man ruined my life and I can't get it back anymore! You know what? Back off from my family."

"Your family?" She scoffed. "What is he?"

She was talking exactly about Jimin and you knew, "He's my man. He's the only one that actually takes care of my daughter like if she was his. Let your man know that I don't need his help and that there is no chance that he will ever get close to my child. No chance."

"Why do you hate him so bad when it was your fault that you had Mina?" She asked. You looked at her confused and shocked that she said that.

"What do you mean? My fault?"

"Yeah the reason why everyone was calling you a slut back then," she said. "Messing with my man was the worst thing you could've done."

You raised an eyebrow more confused, "Tell me, what did you hear?"

"A friend of mine saw you talking to him that night at the party. You both were drinking together and then you went to his room. His room! He followed after you to know what you were doing in his room and you brainwashed him into messing with you that night!" She said, confidently. "You were never innocent, Y/n. You just wanted a baby from him because he was the best looking guy in the party."

You scoffed even more annoyed, "Why would I want a baby from a rapist?"

She looked at you somehow offended by what you had said, "Rapist? The fuck is wrong with you?"

"You heard it all wrong, Chaewon!" You yelled. "He kept asking me questions that night. I left to use the bathroom and he told me to go to the one in his room! Of course he did it on purpose. He followed me and didn't let me leave. Your man, your little girl's father raped me that night. You heard wrong and he's been lying to you this whole entire time. He was nineteen and we were sixteen! Just think about it."

As angry as you got you decided to just leave her there before anything else could've happened. You went back to the bench and just took a couple deep breaths.

"Mommy are you okay?" Mina asked and you nodded sitting her on your lap. "Are you mad because of me?"

"I'm alright, princess. Nothing is your fault," you smiled, kissing her forehead. Nothing will ever be your fault. I love you and Jimin loves you. That's the only thing that matters. Our real family.
