Enjoy!

10 February 2014

Monday came faster than I expected and I was quite anxious for school today. I hadn't spoken to Monica after what happened the other night and I was nervous to see Harry today. I was just hoping he wouldn't mention anything about our little moment in the kitchen because God knows I would end up like putty in front of him. I also hoped that Monica would not notice my anxiousness. I really didn't want to give her the details of what happened that night. I was an open book to her and she knew me too well.

I did some finishing touches on my hair and grabbed my bag as I bid my mom goodbye on the phone. She called earlier to tell me that my dad and her were coming back tomorrow night rather than today. I shivered as I made my way to Monica's car and opened the passengers door. "Hey!" She greeted excitedly and I raised my brows. "Why are you so chirpy in the morning?" I ask putting my seat belt on. "Well, my bestie is coming soon and you know what that means," she laughs as she put the car on drive.

I frowned as we got to a stop sign. "No," I said boringly, "what could that possibly mean?" I looked at the mirror on the door outside of the car.

"Girl, don't ruin my mood, you know how I get." She pointed a finger at me and I rolled my eyes. "Fine, when is Louis coming?" I asked annoyed as we sped through the roads. "This weekend!" She squealed. Louis was definitely one of my favorite people, but I would never admit it to Monica as she would automatically think I liked him. Lord, help her. He was very attractive, though, he even had an accent! He was also from England, just like Harry. Monica and him met by some mutual friends and they automatically clicked too. He comes every three months to visit his friends and some family members he's got here in Chicago.

Monica was still talking as I ignored her voice, looking at the backseat with a frown.

"And-" I cut her off.

"Where is Jessie?" I questioned as we got into the school parking lot.

"I've got no clue, she's been avoiding us lately, haven't you noticed? I asked her if she wanted a ride and she said no." She shrugged looking for a parking spot.

"That doesn't sound right, something's up." I told her and she nodded with a frown, parking the car, taking the key out of the ignition. I opened the door as the chilly wind burns my face, my hair going all over the place. "You really need a haircut." Monica muttered. I glare at her and she shrugs. The warm heat finally hits me as we step inside and I sigh in relief.

"Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm tired of this weather." I said with a scowl as we made our way to the cafeteria. We like to hang out there before class starts.

"Wow, you must be annoyed because you love the winter," she spoke surprised and looks around for a booth as we step into the cafe. She spots one and makes her way there as I follow.

I sit down with a sigh and take out my phone to look at the time as it reads 7:43 A.M. I groan. The day hasn't even started. I decided to text Jessie and ask her where she was at.

Jessie: The bus just got here, I'm on my way; we gotta talk.

I widened my eyes and slap Monica on the head where she was resting it against the table.

"What, bro, what could you possibly want?" I ignore her and shove my phone to her face. She grabs it and reads the message as her eyes widened with each word she reads.

"What the hell could she possibly want to talk about?" Monica wondered, obviously confused. I shook my head as thoughts rushed around in my own head. Whenever Jessie tells us we have to talk, it's usually never good. Like the time her father divorced her mother in the fifth grade, or how mother had gotten full custody of her in seventh grade, and when her mother forbid her to ever see her father again; those were horrible times for her. Her mom was kind though. To us at least.
