HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Hope you have a great one whether you have one or not! xx

7 February 2014

The weekend had finally started. It was Friday night and I couldn't wait to go to sleep late with a bag of popcorn on my lap as I watched a movie later that night. After coming home from school, I took a nap, and I am now refreshed to have an all nighter. Monica called me earlier to check up on me because apparently I've been acting strange since Harry dropped me off. I didn't tell her what happened that day or what a fool I made out of myself, but I did tell her to come over and join me for my all nighter.

It was currently 7:29 in the evening, and I was just saying goodbye to my parents who were leaving town for the weekend to go and fix themselves, I guess. All they've been doing lately is arguing and I think they went away to fix whatever it is they think needs to be fixed in their marriage. They luckily didn't go too far, only about an hour and half away from Chicago. I was bored and Monica didn't come over for another two hours so I decided to clean the house up. I washed my clothes, cleaned the kitchen, living room, and bedroom before my friend came over; cleaning was something I did to rid my mind off of things or I'd just do it because I was bored, which right now was the case.

As I was folding the last of my clothes, I hear the ring of the doorbell. Weird, I thought. It was 8:47 and Monica was to come at around 9; she wasn't one to arrive early to anything other than school. "Must be Monica," I murmured. I sighed as I rush down the stairs to open the door. "Hey Moni-" I frown at the person outside.

"What are you doing here, Harry?" I ask, my hand on the door knob. His hands are in the pockets of his black hoodie as he looks down at me with a sly grin.

"My friend lives down the street and I thought I'd stop by and say hello," he said with a shrug. I narrow my eyes at him and shrug. "Well...hello," I spoke confusingly, "uh, you can come in if you'd like." He was literally shivering.

"Thanks," he muttered. He slowly walks into my home, glancing at a few pictures here, and there, finally stepping into the living room as he sees bags of chips, a box of Caprisun juice, and some bowls on the coffee table. "Was I bothering you? I'm sorry, I'll just-" He was cut off by the ringing of my phone. I glance at him with a nervous smile and he nods for me to take the call.

Monica.

"I'll be right back," I tell Harry as I step out of the living room and into the kitchen. "Hey, Monica, what's up?" I ask. "Well, I'm here- thought you said your parents were gone, who's car is in your driveway?" I sighed. "Look," I whispered, "Harry's here and I don't know why. Just knock on my door and hopefully he'll take that as his cue to leave, alright?" I spoke with frustration as I blow my hair out of my face.

"Yeah, no, not gonna happen. I'm already leaving your place. Have fun, okay? Don't say some dumb shit and have good conversations with him. Okay, now, bye!" I widened my eyes. "No, no, Monica, I swear- oh, who am I kidding, she already hung up." I say angrily. "Who hung up?" I jump out of my skin at his voice. Hope he didn't hear that conversation.

"Jesus, you scared me!" I say as I hit him on his arm playfully. "My names Harry, but Jesus is great too," he said with a shrug and a smirk. I roll my eyes with a small chuckle. "Anyways, who hung up?" I look at him with raised eyebrows, walking out of the kitchen, and into the living room, throwing myself onto the sofa with a sigh.

"My friend kinda ditched me," I said, glancing at him momentarily as he sits down a few feet away from me on the sofa. "Damn, that sucks, though. What were you planing to do?" He asked looking at the junk food on the coffee table. "Well, we were gonna watch a movie, eat junk food, and have an all nighter. Simple, but fun," I said with a shrug. I look at the time on my phone as it reads 9:02. I shake my head in disappointment, another boring night for me.
