"Someone left mine at the door." Archie spoke in a hushed tone as he leant across the table to get closer to Veronica and Jughead.

"Ours too. My dad or Jellybean could have found it." Jughead spoke up for us both as I ran my fingers through my hair trying to grasp what was happening.

"Mine was waiting for me downstairs, at the speakeasy." Veronica mentioned as she placed her hands on the back of her neck trying to remain calm.

"What is going on guys? And quite frankly why am I being involved in this it's not like I'm apart of this little group." The tone in my voice was a mix of fear and frustration, I didn't like not knowing things. I didn't like not being able to plan an attack against another gang because I don't even think it was another gang.

"I think you were sent one because you were with me when we found Ethel, you were there when the Black Hood attacked. That's what this has to be about right?" Jughead tried to piece together the little facts we knew but none of it was really connecting up.

"Are you sure they're not fakes?" The little bit of optimism in Archie's voice made me snicker slightly. He was still managing to be naïve despite everything that had happened to him.

"I don't think so Red." I laughed slightly but even if I had hoped the same thing for a brief second, a very brief second.

"I've been trying Betty at the Farm but she's not answering." Jughead was filled with worry as he was unable to reach Betty.

"I couldn't reach Fangs, Cheryl or Toni either. Something has got to be happening." Realisation began setting in as I tried to rattle my brain back to the days Edgar spent trying to convince me to become a fully fledged member of his cult.

"The invitations say not to tell anyone and not to bring our phones." Archie continued on before Veronica spoke up.

"So it's a trap."

"Yeah a death trap for us. Here walk into the middle of the woods with no phones and don't tell anyone where you're going, it'll be 100% safe. Enjoy!" Sarcasm dripped through the fear in my voice.

"Was there ever a doubt? We don't really have a choice." Jughead mentioned ignoring my sarcastic comments.

"I mean we do technically have a choice but I'm pretty sure that guarantees our 100% chance of death rather than a 90% chance."

The three of them rolled their eyes at me instead of responding and for once I wasn't annoyed at them because I was still trying to figure out what these invitations meant and what was happening at the Farm.

There we sat, dressed in fancy ball gowns and tuxedos as the four of us looked upstairs to see Betty gracing us with her presence. A look of confusion was on her face as she made her way down the staircase of the Blossom residence and it was there I realised Penelope must have been brought straight from the Farm here. Part of me was relieved as I knew it meant she was safe from the ascension but the other part of me was terrified that she was joining the four of us in this twisted game.

"Guys." Betty's voice filled the eerily silent room as she looked between myself, Jughead, Archie, Veronica and finally Penelope.

"Elizabeth. Pretty." Penelope spoke, the simple patronising tone in her voice made me want to vomit but I kept it down for the sake of us all. God knows what would happen if one of us tried to leave this table right now.

"Good evening. Come and join us, why don't you?" Once again I swallowed a lump in my throat as I watched Betty cautiously make her way around the table and to the empty chair next to Jughead.
