"Is he going to show up?" Kevin whispered anxiously as we waited for Fangs to arrive.

"He promised me Kev. He's not fully lost and it may take awhile to get him back but we will because he's family." My hand rested on Kevin's back comfortably as we crouched behind a large oak tree in an attempt to conceal our presence.

"I hear someone." Sweet Pea spoke softly, his switchblade ready in his hand in case it was an ambush.

Leaves rustled to my left causing me to spin around immediately, my hand reaching for my own switchblade as a soft hand rested on my mouth.

Soft shooshes were spoken as my eyes met Fangs, my arms immediately engulfing him in a hug so tight I thought I would crush him.

"You made it." Kevin smiled as he hugged Fangs tighter than I did, the two stood there embracing for a moment before they separated and Fangs hugged Sweet Pea.

"We need to get out of here, now." Fangs motioned towards the Farmies who had begun gathering for their nightly look out meaning we were about to encounter trouble.

I nodded as I picked up one of Fangs bags and tip-toed my way through the woods, checking behind me every couple of seconds to make sure the three boys were following behind. Just as we reached the car a loud commotion came from behind us.

"Get in!" I yelled behind me as the Farmies slowly appeared. Making sure everyone had gotten in the truck I took off down the dirt track at an insanely fast speed. Sweet Pea's hand rested on my lap as motorbikes met us on either side, the Farmies were catching up and fast.

I swerved to my left on a sharp turn knocking one of them off their bike however a baseball bat had come in contact with the passenger window at the same time, completely smashing it and almost hitting Sweet Pea.

Accelerating faster than I had initially I kept driving, another impact hit my window causing me to let out a loud squeal as glass shattered over me but I tried to focus on driving. It was clear that the Farmies didn't have a gun but they had something much worse, they didn't care for their own lives. This factor caused them to become near homicidal as their main goal to destroy the truck and us inside became quite apparent.

By the time we had made it onto the main road all six windows had been smashed in and the sides of the doors had been completely dinted but we had managed to escape them relatively unharmed. I didn't dare stop or slow down as I made my way through Riverdale, another few minutes of reckless driving and we had managed to reach our house. Pulling in the driveway I turned the truck off and took a moment to catch my bearings.

"Are you all okay?" I breathed out as I calmed my mind and body.

"Yeah babe we're good." Sweet Pea rubbed soft circles on my thigh as he helped ground my thoughts. I rested my head on his shoulder for a moment still processing what had happened as I tried to shake the realisation of just how far the Farmies were willingly to go when Edgar told them to do so.

"Alright let's get inside." I turned my head slightly and smiled at both Kevin and Fangs, the two of them leaning on each other for support before we all hopped out of the car and made our way inside the front doors. I knew I would have to explain the damage of the truck to FP but that could wait until tomorrow.

Excitable squeals welcomed us in the door as Jellybean ran over carrying Charlie. Jellybean and I had grown quite close since I moved in, so much so she's become a big sister for Charlie. She's always eager to help out and volunteers to look after her when FP and Jughead have work to do.

"Hey JB." Sweet Pea hugged her softly before messing up her hair as I reached down and picked Charlie up, placing a small kiss on the top of Jellybean's head in the process. Charlie was getting bigger every day and as much as it made me sad to see her growing up I couldn't wait to see what she would do with the world at her feet.

"You're all home!" Jellybean smiled as she hugged Fangs tight before dragging him off to play videogames with her and Kevin. The two boys laughed softly but didn't protest, if anything it's exactly what they needed after what they had gone through tonight.

"Let's go upstairs." I smiled over at Sweet Pea as I carried Charlie up the stairs into our room.

"Tonight was insane." Sweet Pea commented as we sat down on our bed and played with Charlie's toys as she lay on the bed with us.

"That's an understatement. I just hope they don't come looking for Fangs, Edgar would already know where he's staying but I'm hoping that's what defers him." I let out an exhausted sigh as I thought about the deal Edgar and I had made before cutting ties with the Farm completely.

"What do you mean babe?" Sweet Pea questioned as he begun to play with Charlie's black curls making her giggle away to herself as she chewed on her favourite bear.

"To get us out of the Farm I made a deal with Edgar. I wouldn't talk to the press or any authorities about what was going on in the farm if he granted my family protection." Sweet Pea's faced showed a shocked look as he processed what I'm saying.

"Basically what you're telling me is you knew about what the Farm was doing to people? You knew they were harvesting the organs of our friends but you never did anything?" Frustration became clearer in his voice as he spoke.

"I did it to protect us, to protect Charlie. I did it to protect the Serpents and our family. He wouldn't pardon those that had joined on their own accord and I wasn't able to warn them if I wanted our family protected. I didn't even know Fangs had joined until it was too late, same goes for Cheryl and Toni, last I knew Cheryl was only spying on them and the next minute she was brainwashed. I couldn't let that happen to you." Tears spilt from my eyes as I hurried to wipe them away, my eyes focused on Charlie and her soft caring nature as she hugged her bear softly.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I knew you would try to get everyone out of there before we even had a chance too. I knew you would cause a stampede and nobody would believe you, Betty already tried to get our friends to leave but it didn't work. None of them believed her so they turned against her. If I had told you then you would have stormed in there like a bull in a china shop only to end up brainwashed yourself." My eyes lifted up slowly, I was almost too scared to look at Sweet Pea's face as a few minutes of silence passed by.

"Okay." Now it was my turn to be confused as I was unable to read the look on his face, he looked hurt but also understanding yet I couldn't tell if he was about to lose his temper and storm out.

"Okay?" I asked carefully needing reassurance as to what Sweet Pea was thinking.

"I get it. I don't like it, any of it, but I get it. You did what was best to protect our family and I understand that." I let out a sigh I didn't even know I was holding as I leant forward and rested my head on Sweet Pea's chest making him laugh slightly.

"Thank god. I have no idea what I was about to do next if you had gotten mad or stormed out. I would have completely understood it but I have no idea what I would have done." I laughed nervously as Sweet Pea just shook his head at me still smiling.

"You should have told me but I understand why you didn't and I forgive you because if I'm being honest, I love you too much to be mad at you."

The smile on my face grew wide as I leant forward and kissed Sweet Pea softly on the lips making Charlie giggle as she looked up at us with her angel eyes.

"I love you too." I smiled before stealing another quick kiss off of my fiancé.

"Let's get to bed." Sweet Pea spoke as he lifted Charlie up softly and placed her in the crib at the end of our bed, sitting her favourite teddy down beside her as I changed into one of his t-shirts to sleep in.

Only a few minutes later I was laying with my head on Sweet Pea's chest, listening to the steady rise and fall of his chest before he spoke.

"You drive me mad but you're the only one for me Dani." His lips pressed against my head making me smile wide before I leant up and kissed him on the lips once more.

"I could say the same thing about you Sweets. Goodnight."

Resting my head on his chest again as he played with my hair, softly lulling me to sleep as I settled into bed and drifted off into a comfortable sleep.

"Goodnight princess."
