chapter twelve.

TIME BLENDS INTO HOURS, minutes and seconds; her only cue to the outside world are the the metal squares above her head. The pain in her right shoulder has dulled hurting less when she swings it, there were bones and skulls everywhere she couldn't tell whether they were long before she or Kate or they came with this dungeon.  Veronica did not want to know. Does her family know she's missing? How the hell did Kate know they were meeting inside Derek's loft and that it'd be empty ━ because she planned it. But why take her along? Isn't she still working alongside her parents?

Her eyes had adjusted to the darkness long ago; the cage door was left opened she swears it was closed last time she blinked. It was a trap, Kate might as well had neon signs with the word TRAP around it. Weapon. She needs a weapon or something before she goes out ( of course she's going to go out, only fucking idiots wait for someone to come rescue and that person may never come. ) her fingers grasp a long thick bone and smack it against a boulder dust flew in the air, her shoulders tightened as the sound bounced off the walls.  Her eyebrows drew together spotting not a single crack, this was good enough for her.

Her fingers tightens around the bone staring at the thick black door, her shoulder isn't a disadvantage she can fight without it, it wasn't as useful before anyway. Her body slips through the crack the light in this hall was much worse then the one behind, biting her lip she lifts her right trying her best to ignore the burning pain and uses the rough bumpy wall to guide her.  "Scott? Scott McCall!?" Veronica whispers, praying he was tuning in. She wonders, where she is and if Scott's here with her, why did Kate decide to bring them here out of all her hideouts, maybe this one's the best? But is she still in Beacon Hills?

Veronica had been counting how many steps and turns she'd taken to know her way back. This place was like cornfield, either she meets a dead end or gets tricked into thinking she's getting closer to the light outside.  Why could Kate just pop out already, she's tired of this; if she wants her dead then why wait it out? Her head was starting to hurt and she feels so dirty. Last time she'd seen Scott he looked like he'd been through hell, caked in blood and bruises ━  if he were human she'd be more concern, he's a True Alpha and can handle himself without her ( she hopes. ).

The raven haired felt their heavy steps first, then heart them breath out heavy like a bull not far behind her. Berserker. This is a fight she could not win, if Kate choose this place then it's because she knows it inside out and she's controlling them so they'd know the layout of this place more then her. Was there even a point in running away? The choice is obvious.

If only she borrowed a jacket with a hood instead of jean one, Lydia is totally going to be fuming. The Berserker doesn't moving, his shoulders raising up and down like he had ran his way here. She jerked forward and it done nothing like he'd been ordered to just block her path, for what?  Veronica dropped her knees touching her chin protecting her head, the wall where her head was crumbles dust spewing out. His breath gave himself away. She rolled on her back as his foot lifted and smacked onto the ground, picking herself up she clutched the bone tighter. Don't just stand there! His hand grasps hold of her collar she stabs his hand with the bone and twirls underneath his arm slipping out of the jacket and bangs her foot against his thigh, he stumbles dropped her jacket.
