Ryder and I were laying in his bed. He was playing with my hair as I ran my finger along his chest.
"They think you have a woman assassin," he looked at me and chuckled.
"I mean we kind of do," I shrugged as he kissed my head. "Why didn't you tell me you could speak Italian or that you knew the Italian mafia?" I looked up at him and smiled.
"Me speaking Italian never really came up in a conversation and I don't know the Italian mafia. I just know Luca," he nodded and looked at me again.
"Did you and Luca go out or something? Why did he kiss you?" I smiled and pecked his lips.
"No, Luca was just a friend. That's how you greet people in Italy, I wasn't expecting it really," he nodded and pulled me close to him.
"I need your help tonight," I sat up and nodded. "We only have a month to kill all of Dave's gang, we were thinking that you could lead them away from the base and we'll snipe them from high above," I nodded.
"Let's start tonight, they won't expect it," he nodded and got up. He threw on his clothes as I did the same and then turned to me. "But Paul has to stay here, Lindsey would freak out," he nodded and left the room to collect everyone. I looked in the mirror and thought of a plan. I started putting purple and black on my eye to make it look like a black eye. I put lots of blush on my cheeks to make me look red.
"Are you coming?" Ryder came back and gasped. "It's fake right? You scared the hell out of me," he ran over to me and I smiled.
"I thought I could show up on their street, tell them you kicked me out and make whoever is there walk with me until we get somewhere visible," he chuckled and kissed me.
"You're dangerous baby," I shrugged. We went downstairs and everyone gasped.
"What the hell did you do to her!" Joe yelled and Ryder put his hands up.
"It's fake, don't worry," I smiled at them and wiped a little bit off with my finger. They all relaxed and sat back down.
"It's her plan, she's a genius truly," Ryder spoke and looked over at me. "She's going to tell whoever is on the outside gate that I kicked her out which led her there. Lead them away from the gate and then we take them out," the guys nodded.
"Let's go and get it over with then," they nodded as Luke spoke. We all climbed in to the cars. Ryder dropped me off a block away from their hideout. I started walking and was able to make myself cry.
"What's a pretty lady like you doing all alone?" I heard a man and looked up. I was at their gate and saw it was one of his people. He gasped when I looked at him.
"Stone kicked me out, said if I ever come back he'll kill me. I'm just trying to get to the closest store to help feed my son," the guys looked at me shocked and concerned.
"Would you like us to walk with you? No one comes by here at night, we should be fine right Fred?" One guy spoke to the other who nodded.
"I can't ask of that," I sniffled and they shook their head and opened the gate to get past it.
"We insist plus, this is an awful side of town, you need two strong men on your arms to make sure you're safe," I smiled at him as they walked beside me.
"I heard Dave talking with Stone about Liam, I'm very sorry for your loss, we dated in high school, he was a good guy," they both nodded.
"He wasn't these days, he was a rapist and a piece of shit for what he would do to innocent women," I nodded. "I would thank who ever killed him and give them an award," the other guy agreed.
"This whole gang is worthless, only a bunch of rapist and sex trafficking men who doesn't care who gets hurt," I looked up at the building and sniffled once we got far away.
"Oh my shoe is untied," I bent down to tie it and then heard gunshots and saw the two bodies beside me.
"That was great baby, Steve is picking you up, he is right around the corner," I nodded and went to the car. I got in and Steve shook his head.
"Ryders changed you," I turned to him and shook my head. "You're ok with people dying right next to you! You have blood on your shirt for heaven sakes," I rolled my eyes at him.
"You're a killer too, in this line of work you should be fine with whatever comes to you," he slammed on the brakes.
"I am fine with that but not when an innocent girl is killing people because her boyfriend tells her too," I turned to him more.
"Listen, you don't understand what I had to go through in that house with Liam and a few other guys and then at that house where I practically saved you," he looked at his steering wheel. "Why don't you stop worrying about me before you get yourself killed in the process," he looked at the road and started driving again.
"I told you to leave, to get away from all this and instead you kill someone," I shook my head.
"Why would I leave when my son is happy, I'm happy, my best friend is happy?" He turned to me and shook his head.
"This is fucking torture for me!" I looked at him shocked. "God dammit Madelyn, I'm in love with you and all you care about is that jackass? What because he's your sons father?" I stayed quiet. "Ryder is turning you into a killer, he's just putting your life and Jacobs life more in danger," I shook my head.
"Ryder didn't turn me into anything, I changed because I know how this world is. I know that you have to get with the program or everything and everyone is going to leave you in the process," he turned over to me slightly.
"I'm sorry," he said and I didn't know why. He sped through a red light and I saw white lights. I screamed.
"Baby! Baby!" I heard one last time before I passed out.
