Some months later...

Right now we were rushing to the hospital. May was going into labor and let's just say she's in a lot of pain. Heath was holding her hand as Ryder drove us as fast as he could.

"Mads, I think I'm counting them wrong," May winced and I smiled at her. She went quiet as she felt another contraction.

"I got you, we're almost there," I checked my watch and waited until she had another. They were five minutes apart. I helped her with her breathing as the car came to a stop. Ryder ran to the hospital and got a wheelchair. Heath and him helped May into the chair as we walked to inside.

"Ms Vega! He is on his way isn't he?" A nurse ran over to us and we all nodded quickly. "Follow me to her room," Heath pushed the chair following the nurse. Lindsey and I followed her as well. "How far apart are your contractions?" May looked over at me.

"She was five minutes apart in the car," she nodded and gave May a gown. Heath helped her change and then the nurse checked her.

"You're five centimeters apart so you're half way there!" May smiled. Mays doctor walked in and smiled at us.

"How has the pain been?" May shook her head. She was going through another contraction.

"Can't you give her some type of pain medicine?" Heath spoke and the doctor nodded to him.

"We can give what's called an epidural, it's basically a needle that is inserted into your spine. It might slow your contractions, but it's all up to you," May looked over at Heath and then me. "Also, you can only have two people in your room when you give birth so one person has to leave," May shot up and got angry until another contraction hit.

"It's ok, I'll go. It's killing my feet anyways," Lindsey laughed. She walked over and hugged May and then me and left.

"Baby, if you're in that much pain then get the epidural," Heath wiped a tear that fell from her eye. May nodded to the doctor and he talked to the nurse.

"Does it hurt? I don't like needles," May looked at me weary and I smiled.

"You'll feel pressure, but once that medicine kicks it you'll feel better," she smiled at me and nodded.

"I'm going to be honest with you guys, I'm terrified," May took a deep breath and Heath nodded at her.

"It'll all be ok, Caspian and you will be alright," I smiled at their name choice. It's such a beautiful name. May turned to me and smiled at my bump.

"Is Jacob ready to be a big brother?" I smiled remembering the face Jacob made when Ryder and I told him. His mouth flew open and then he started running around. He talks to the baby every night and says he can see them in my tummy.

"He can't wait, he also can't wait to be a great cousin," she smiled and set her hand on her stomach.

"Thank you for helping us, I know you and Ryder have to be dealing with your own kids, but we really appreciate it," Heath smiled at me and I nodded.

"Of course! Pregnancy is scary with worrying about if the baby is okay and if you're okay. Labor is a journey too, but at the end you get a long awaited gift," they smiled at me and nodded. "I'm going to go check on Ryder and Jacob, don't have that baby without me," I winked at May jokingly. I walked to the waiting room and saw Ryder in a chair on his phone while Jacob was on the ground with Luke and Alec. Lindsey was sitting with Paul and Joe was spread out across a few chairs.

"Baby!" Jacob jumped up and ran over to my stomach. Everyone laughed and I smiled at him.

"Yeah baby," I walked over to Ryder and sat down with him. He was off the phone and took my hand gently.

"You look tired," Ryder smiled at me and I shrugged. It's 8 am and I couldn't really sleep last night.

"A little, but I'll be okay," he smiled at me and then kissed my cheek. "I should probably get back, she already had the epidural," he nodded and I walked back out to go to Mays room. When I walked in Heath had on the yellow dress with a face mask. Some nurses were running around.

"She's about to push, here," Heath handed me the clothes so I quickly threw them on. We sat by May and helped coach her as the nurses and doctor got ready.

"Ok, push!" The doctor spoke and May squeezed our hands hard until the doctor said to take a break. She did this for ten minutes until a little scream erupted in the room.

"It's a boy! Sir, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" Heath nodded and cut where the nurse told him to. I stayed by May as Heath made sure the baby was okay with the other nurses. The nurse then laid the baby into his arms and he looked over at us shocked. He walked over slowly as May sat up to see. Heath slowly laid him into her arms as May smiled.

"Hey little Cas, he's so precious," May smiled up at us and I nodded.

"A little copy of the both of you," they nodded and I removed the mask. "I'll leave you two with your baby," I smiled and walked out of the room.

"He's here!" Lindsey's popped up and I nodded and smiled.

"How is she feeling? How big is he?" Luke questioned and I laughed.

"She's happy and I think the scale said 7 pounds," everyone nodded and Jacob hugged me. "Hey bud, played to hard?" I asked as I bent down to his level. He nodded and yawned. Once May could have guests everyone went back as I sat with Jacob who had fallen asleep.

"I'm sorry," I jumped and sat up seeing the girl from the trial. I held Jacob close to me and looked at her. "Your parents offered me a lot of money and I was in a lot of debt," I didn't say anything. "I'll leave you alone," I nodded and she left. I sighed and kissed Jacob on his forehead.
