Hell on Earth (Tokyo Ghoul x HOTD)

Chapter 2

Kaneki ran the streets seeing cops trying to keep order. The ghoul kept running then jumped activating his kagune climbing a side of the building till he reached the top of the roof. Kaneki saw smoke in some of the ward making him close his eyes he grabbed his eyepatch throwing it aside. The wind was making the smoke fill the air the sound of screaming and crying filled Kaneki ears. This made him look around till he sees the college. He was about to advance till he sees CCG agents helping the police seeing someone he saw the investigator he fought when he was trying to protect Touka.

Kaneki watched as they tried to maintain order till he looked away and made his way to the college. Kaneki clenched his teeth trying to find an excuse to tell hide about being gone for two weeks the hair color everything. He made it to the college seeing students running and some getting eaten. The screams made the ghouls ears bleed till he kept moving one of the things ran at the ghoul making him dodge. Swiping it's feet and kicking it into a bench the ghoul kept moving till he sees students trying to get into the cafeteria.

The white haired ghoul kept looking till he saw hide banging on a door with some other students. He made his way towards them till he saw some of the things heading their way. "Hide!!" This made the ginger turn too see a white haired teen running at him everyone looked too see who it was.

Kaneki stoped when the things headed his way his goal was to get hide out of here whatever means possible. The ghoul ran at full force grabbing one by the throat then threw the body into the rest making them fall. "Kaneki is that you? What happened to your hair and nails ?" The ghoul looked at his friend smiling abit till he heard moaning they where getting surrounded. The ghoul looked around then bite his lip cussing to himself then looked too see them come closer till Kaneki charged grabbing the arm and upper cutting one of the heads making it snap.

The ghoul backed away till he realized something they must be dead or something new ghoul but why aren't they using kagunes. Kaneki kept looking till he grabbed hide bridal style running at the things using his ghoul strength he jumped over them. He lands not looking back he kept moving forward hide kept screaming to go back and help but Kaneki kept moving till they get to a safe place. CCG and police arrived at the scene which made the ghoul more annoyed he ran past them not making eye contact. They make it to an alley way they stop Kaneki drops hide down catching his breath.

"Kaneki how did you do all that?" The ghoul looked away taking deep breaths making him close his eyes slowly thinking here goes nothing. The ghoul looked at his friend "hide... I'm a ghoul..." hide was quiet the air in the alley way was tough this made Kaneki look down in shame. Till hide put a hand on his shoulder looking at smiling "Kaneki I knew... I've known for awhile I just wanted to act stupid till you where ready to tell me." Kaneki eyes looked at him in shock then tears rolled down his face "I'm sorry I lied all those times hide and why I was gone for two weeks.."

Hide hugged him making the ghoul smile abit "don't worry about it I knew from the raid in the 13th ward you broke free I saw from a far with binoculars." Kaneki looked at him till he hears the moaning seeing the things over run the place. He activated his kagune picking hide up and climbed the wall making it too a roof. The ghoul looked around till he sees some of the investigators get trapped and overwhelmed. Kaneki kept watching till hide looked at him "let's go help them." This made the ghoul look at him like he was crazy till he looked back seeing the same investigator he spared back then closing his eyes pulling out his mask.

He put it on looking at his friend "you stay here I got this." Kaneki in a flash dropped down on a car making a dent in the roof all the agents and police looked too see the ghoul watching them till his kagune started to rip threw the things. Agents were frozen in fear while the investigator looked at the ghoul. Kaneki looked at him as well nodding in response till he saw one coming behind about to take a bite.

The investigator eyes widen seeing the kagune come at him about to block till it went past him and into the head of one of things. The ghoul called back his kagune turning around "eyepatch!" Kaneki stoped turning around then vanished the investigator saw the white haired ghoul vanish. He closed his eyes wondering why the same ghoul saved him and he wanted answers but all the ghoul population is almost gone. Kaneki appears on the roof next to hide they run and run threw the 20th ward till they reach a gas station. The ghoul put away his mask entering the station seeing everyone grabbing food and supplies they can.

He watched hide try to get snacks till a guy pulled out a gun. Kaneki saw the gun making him take a deep breath and cracked his finger appearing infront the man breaking his arm. Everyone fled from the station the man was on his knees screaming "you fucking cunt!!!" Kaneki just looked at the human only to kick him down stepping in his throat. Hide watched his friend slowly making his way towards him "I'm fine Kaneki let's go." The ghoul looked at the man till the tv went off showing Tokyo in ruin.

"The ghoul population by the CCG has found a number in decrease. But reports of corpses eating people and infection has spread. Is this a terrorist organization or a CDC virus that got lose?" The report then heard gun shots seeing cops shooting some of the dead only to be overwhelmed getting eaten. The reporter then looked around only to scream to be shutdown before anything can happen.

Kaneki took the information in realizing the smell does make sense that they are like zombies. The man tried to get up but was pushed back down and knocked out. Hide collected snacks till he saw some of the zombies start to head over. "Kaneki dead three o'clock!" The ghoul turned around too see five flesh eaters head their way. He looked around not wanting to use his kagune that much he grabbed a mop breaking it in half walking outside. The zombies walked toward making the ghoul lift the handle running. Kaneki took a swing making one zombie fall to the ground while the others tried to bite him but the ghoul used his speed to evade and stab them in the head.

Hide runs outside with a gun holding it killing of the last zombie. "I found this at the register!" Kaneki looked at him for a moment then nods seeing they need to find a place to stay. "Don't waste the bullets you have me hide. We need to find a place to crash." His friend nods then pointed up ahead "their are house and apartments up ahead three blocks max."

Kaneki looked ahead seeing the dead were spreading more and more infecting everyone. "Let's go hide stay close to me."
