The plane ride went by fast and slow all at the same time. Dylan was passed out the whole plane ride, but he never once let go of my hand, even though I squeezed it pretty hard at times through some turbulence.

Was I making the right decision? Was moving all the way across the country to live with a guy – who to be honest – I barely knew going to back fire on me. I had never done anything like this ever, and now here I am, starting into something totally unknown to me all because of something called love. I had to be an idiot…

“Hey you’re awake,” I said as I suddenly felt a light kiss on my hand.

“How are you doing,” Dylan asked in his rough ‘just woke up’ voice.

“I’m making it…I’m making it,” I answered trying to sound as confident as possible. “I think we are about to land though. Everything is arranged for Posey to come pick us up?”

“Yes, I texted him last night and he said to call him when we land and he will be on his way.”

“Ok good,” I said as nerves suddenly hit me again.

“Hey, look at me,” Dylan said as he could sense the change and moved my face to look at his. “I know you are nervous – hell, I would be too – but I’m right here. I realize how big of change this is for you, and I don’t feel like you can’t talk to me about it ok? If you wanna do this, you gotta make sure you include me in what’s going on up in that pretty little head of yours ok?”

I let out a deep breath.

            “Ok.”

“Ok, now let’s give my hand one last good squeeze,” Dylan said with a smirk as the flight attendant announced the upcoming landing.

The plane landed smoothly and Dylan’s hand was still in tact as we got our carry-ons and got off the plane. Before Dylan could even punch Tyler’s number in his phone, we heard a voice calling our names.

            “Dylan! Haley! Over here!”

Dylan and I turned around and there was Tyler with a big, hand made “welcome home” sign. Dylan grabbed my hand and rushed me over to greet him. Tyler dropped the sign and immediately gave Dylan a bro hug before turning to introduce himself to me.

“And you must be the one that has somehow turned this guy into a romantic,” he said with a smile. “I’m Tyler.”

“Very nice to finally meet you, Tyler. I’m Haley,” I said.

“Ok enough of the sentimental stuff. I want to get this beautiful girl of to her new home and into bed,” Dylan said tugging at my hand.

“Ewww,” Tyler responded. “You guys are…”

“Oh gosh no,” Dylan said cutting him off. “That is no what I meant you perv. However…,” he said looking down at me a huge grin.

“Ok you guys, let’s just go to the car,” I said trying to contain my laughter.
