This story wasn’t really going anywhere so I’m just going to do a time skip, sorry if you don’t like it.

*3 MONTHS LATER*      

LUKE’S POV

“You look great Luke” Mum told me as I looked at myself one more time in the mirror.

“Okay, I’m going then” I said nervously.

I took Harmony from Mum and kissed the top of her head

“Be good for grandma” I said to her as I passed her to Mum. She smiled widely at me as usual, she was developing really well and could now sit up and smile, she now knew me and stopped crying as soon as I picked her up, she smiles whenever she hears my voice and she now sleeps through the night, it was nice to finally feel appreciated by her.

“Have you got her rabbit?” I asked Mum, knowing that was the only thing that would keep her crying for me

“Yes Luke, stop worrying, I know how to look after a baby, look at yourself for proof” Mum said

“Okay, okay”

“Have fun” She called after me as I left. I got into my car and drove the route that was starting to become very familiar.

As I pulled up I quickly unstrapped Harmony’s car seat and threw it into the back.

I saw the door open to Farah’s block of flats and she came out looking stunning as usual. She had a tight black dress on, with black heels and a little black clutch bag, her long dark her was curled and flowed around her shoulders, this whole look being complimented by her naturally dark complexion.

“You look beautiful” I said as she got in. I leaned across the car and kissed her, as I pulled away she laughed

“You’ve got lipstick on your face” She laughed.

She pulled a tissue out of her bag and wiped it off.

“So where are we going?” She asked as I drove off.

“It’s still a surprise”

“Aw come on, you’ve been saying that it all week” She begged

I turned round and smiled at her perfect face.

I started to slow down as we got outside McDonalds; I saw her face fall when she realised

“I’m joking babe” I said as I sped up

I drove to the restaurant I was actually taking her too and her mouth opened in surprise

“Luke!” She squealed when she realised “Are you serious? This is so expensive”

“Only the best” I told her as I parked. I got out then went round the other side and opened her car door.

I took her hand as I took her in and we were led to our table, I pulled her chair back and then poured her some champagne

We ordered our food and talked, mainly about Harmony and Charlie.

It was really good that we both had kids. We both understood if one of us couldn’t make it or needed to leave early because they were worried. We swapped tips about them as well; well it was mainly her giving me advice as I hadn’t had a baby Charlie’s age yet. She did ask a few things, like boy things, but it was mainly her helping me with Harmony. Charlie liked me as well so that was good.

“So how’s work?” I asked her.

“Oh you know, awful, but it’ll do, it pays enough to support Charlie” She said
