Adrien's P.O.V
"Look, Chat," she says as we run, "that isn't your boyfriend. That's an akumatized person who's putting Paris in danger."
"Ladybug, I mean it. If he asked for my miraculous right now, I would give it to him. I'm sorry. I just can't—" I'm cut off by a fuming Ladybug.
"Chat, you can't. You're a protector of Paris."
"Then we'll have to pray he doesn't ask me for it," I say.
"And if you get on so well, what is he so upset about?" she asks.
I sigh and my eyes fill with tears. I really don't want to cry in front of Ladybug though. I dry my eyes before the tears can spill.
"We had an argument yesterday. It was about... coming out," I say hesitantly.
"What about it? Is he not out yet?" she asks curiously.
"No, I'm not out yet. And he was getting fed up with me about it. I called him selfish and then he– he said that we should take a break."
Ladybug looks sympathetic.
"I won't fight him. I'll talk to him," I conclude.
Before she can protest, I'm running towards Luka.
"Luka!" I shout, cupping my hands over my mouth so my voice is magnified.
"I told you Kitty, it's Karma now."
His voice is still soft.
"Please don't do this," I beg, "I'm sorry for what I said. I don't want to fight you Luka. I can't."
"You don't have to fight me, just give me your miraculous, Kitty," he says.
"I can't, I—"
"Please?" he says.
No, no, no. I can't let him get to me. Luka...
"You don't have to do this," I say, walking forwards, "just tell me where the akuma is."
"As much as I love you, Kitty, I can't," he says sadly.
Wait. He loves me? He must realise what he said because he instantly starts trying to backtrack.
"I mean... I—"
"It's okay, Luka. I'll always be here," I say. "Cataclysm," I mutter under my breath. "I'll make it all alright," I say, pulling him in for a hug.
And then I touch his earring. It crumbles, and an akuma flies out.
Ladybug catches and does her whole miraculous thing whilst Karma detransforms into Luka.
She lifts up her fist, about to say pound it, but I run to Luka.
The tears are falling before I can register their existence.
"Luka! I'm so, so sorry. I never thought you'd feel like that. I didn't mean it. I don't think that you're selfish at all. I'm sorry," I repeat.
Luka wipes my tears before giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"I forgive you, Kitty. Plus, I think Ladybug is waiting for a fistbump," he smirks.
I jog over to her and we do the fist bump thing. But then I'm all over Luka.
"Are— are we still taking a break?" I ask shyly.
Luka shakes his head.
"I'm sorry I tried to pressure you into soemthing you're not ready for," Luka says.
"No. I'm ready now. I want to shout it to the world. Luka Couffaine is my boyfriend! My wonderful, brilliant, excellent, hot boyfriend," I say.
For the first time ever, Luka blushes.
We walk to his house, and I detransform.
"We're supposed to be at school, but fuck that," Luka says.
"How should I come out? We should walk into school holding hands!" I say.
"Yeah..." he comments as we sit on his sofa.
Oh no. He only does that when something's wrong.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Nothing, Kitty."
"You know I don't like it when people lie to me," I say. "I can't know what's up if you don't tell me. I can't read your mind," I tell him gently.
"It's just... I— I'm tired," he says, "I'm tired of being there for everyone and having all these responsibilities and being the older one and I just wish that —" he begins.
"I had no idea you felt like that at all. And I'm sorry I've not been there for you. I'm terrible, I know," I say.
Luka immediately starts trying to tell me that not, but I cut him off.
"Tell you what, let me make it up to you," I say.
"And how would you do that?" he asks suspiciously.
"I'll take you on a date. There'll be no-one watching us. Just me and you. Oh, say yes Luka," I goad him.
"Fine," he says rolling his eyes.
Yes. I punch the air in jubilation. I just scored a date with Luka.
A/N: Awwww, a nice date for the two lovelies. A beautiful evening full of roses and candles and chocalate and sweetness.
Ha bitch you thought.
All I'm going to say is, you better start prepping yourself for this date, because honestly, I don't think this gonna end in a kiss.
