The Magic Within (Elsa x Female Reader)

Entering The Scarlet Cave

Elsa POV: 

After a long while of riding, we eventually reach the glacier which leads into an ice cave. I dismounted my ice horse and y/n dismounted Peppermint. She walks to the entrance of the cave but was stopped by a blast of magic. "Be careful y/n." I told her. "Sorry, how was I to know that the entrance was blocked by an invisible force of magic?" "I'm not saying you were to know but didn't you remember Grand Pabbie's riddle? The lion's head gains access." She sighed in frustration, "But there is no lion's head! Did Grand Pabbie send us on a wild goose chase?" She was right there was no lion's head in sight. 

Suddenly, there was a loud rumble and in front of us, a pedestal rose from the ground with a lion's head made of stone on top of it. Me and y/n glanced at each other partly confusion and surprised that happened. "Does that mean we now have access?" She asked as she went to the entrance again. She reached her arm out and another blast of magic was shot in our direction. "Y/n I told you to be careful." She shrugged her shoulders and said, "I wonder why it's called the Scarlet Cave when it is made of ice." "I don't know but let's try to figure out this lion's head." I told her. 

I walked over to the lion head and placed my hand on it to see if any other defences were around. There was none thankfully. "Y/n you try see if anything happens." She came over and pretty much copied what I did with the lion head. At first nothing happened. Then, the invisible for of magic that acted as a shield lit up a brilliant red colour kind of like- "A scarlet coloured shield made of magic! That's why it is called the Scarlet Cave!" Y/n said snapping me out of my thoughts. "But what I don't understand is why did it lower the barrier for you and nothing happened when I did that?" I asked her. She shrugged her shoulders and walked through the lowered shield. "What are you waiting for? Come on Elsa!" 

I was about to walk through the lowered shield the scarlet light crept upwards from the ground forcing me to step back. Y/n looked at me, "I wonder if that means only certain people for whatever reason can enter this cave." Judging by what just happened, I'd say she has a point. "I'll go and find the golden crystal. I'll try not to be too long." With that she went deeper into the cave. "Be careful. Please." I whispered. Then, pedestal with the lion head slowly disappeared into the ground. I just hope she won't be long, I hate waiting around not being able to do anything.
