Chapter 46
Niall's p.o.vLiam was a mess.
Not like the crying uncontrollably, or throwing the closest thing to him kind of mess.
He was just a mess.
And he seemed pretty content on keeping the reason to himself. We kept pestering him about it, like any good mate would, but he would just shake us off. (a/n: Fiona, if you're going to sing, do it now)
When I finally decided that Liam will never admit to anything, I called the only person I knew would have the answers.
Fiona.
I had a feeling that Liam's predicament had something to do with Court. And if it had to do with Court, Fiona would know.
I dialed Fiona's number, and waited for her to pick up.
"Sup."
"Fiona, I love you, but please stop saying sup. Your not black."
"Have you been spending time with Jayla?"
"That's not why I called. So do you know what happened between Courtney and Liam?"
"Of course I do. They're giving each other space because Court was really stressed out about school starting and stuff."
"And now they're both a mess?"
"Exactly."
"Okay, thanks. And by the way, I'm planing on taking you out to dinner tonight. I'll pick you up around 7:30?"
"Yeah that's great. Love you!"
"Love you too!"
I hung up and put my phone down. I looked over to Liam, who was mindlessly changing the channel on the tv.
"Liam, just because you and Courtney broke up doesn't mean you need to mope around like this."
"We didn't break up. We're just giving each other space to think."
"Whatever, but you need to fix this before it turns into more than just giving each other space."
"Don't you have a date to get ready for?" He changed the subject, hoping I would leave.
I rolled my eyes, picked up my jacket, and walked towards the door. Liam and I said our goodbyes, and I left. I could help but think about my date with Fiona tonight.
Fiona's p.o.v
"Get up!" I yelled through Court's door. As soon as we came home from work, she headed straight to her room.
"Go make some Mac & Cheese or something!" She yelled back. "I already did!" I yelled, smiling.
I decided that trying to be polite wasn't working, and just opened her bedroom door. Court was sprawled out on the floor, looking at the ceiling.
"Let me guess, you need me to help you get ready for a date." she said, sitting up and facing me.
"That's one reason. I also need you to stop moping around like your life as you know it is over."
"I am not moping." she scoffed. She then stood up, walking out her room, and into mine.
"Where's Niall taking you?"
"We're going to dinner." I stated, sitting on my bed.
"Are you going to Spago?"
"We don't speak of Spago, and we couldn't go to Spago anyway. I don't think they have a one here."
