Unidentified Plans

"Be gone with him." My sister says shooing him off. I stare between my sister and the soldier. The guards already have him off, down the hallway.

"Princess," I glance over to see the Royle Council awaiting. "You're gonna need to come with us." Dutches Meri announces ushering me to go with them.

"I didn't tell you about the man in the forest for this exact reason!" I yelled, as the council sat high in their chairs and Jaymes stood by the window.

"Ayeth, the number one rule, is you tell somebody if you may be in danger," Duke Lance says grimacing "People would kill to capture and enslave you. Killing the final heir to the throne."

"Sound's to me like you think about it often," I say giving him an equally as disgusted look. Duke Lance sneers and whispers something into the Dutches' ear to make her blush. I gag a little and grab Jaymes' hand. He only looks at me and shakes his head a little, even though he seemed to be upset, he squeezes my hand and then let's go. Letting me know he will get over it. I take a long and deep breath and walk out of the room.

"Ayeth," Dutches Meri follows "What are you doing, where are you going?" She questions and grips my arm. I look at her and rip my arm out of her hands. Honestly, I don't know what I'm doing, but either I stand up and face the Odeila solder, locked away, or this kingdom goes to ruins.

Nobody stopped me, nobody even attempted. Not a single soul, including Jaymes. Whispers spread like a virus through the corridors, and though it would usually really bother me, it didn't. Unlike MerchanBerg and Odelia, we don't have a so-called dunsion. All we have is a separate room with two cells and another with the gallows. No crime is tolerated in Burden Ridge, and may the heavens and God above have mercy on the ones who commit a crime.

As much as crime isn't tolerated, nobody usually is put in the "Chamber". Maybe, now that my dear sister is Queen, people will start being shoved in.

Limping down the corridor, nearly to the chamber, I could hear the echoes of my sister's boots hitting the marble. I slump behind one of the many pillars and watch, listening for what my sister's business is going down the chamber's corridor.

Avice's steps drew closer as I hear her voice, communicating to someone I haven't heard before.

"-I thought you said you had it figured out," Avice says in a growl.

"Your highness, if I may-" The voice begins. A loud clapping noise is heard and the footsteps stopped.

"You may not," Avice screams, then coughs a tad bit before talking in a more quiet manner. "The plan was, the first soldier to complete the action. Then, you failed. And we had another plan, the better one, with this soldier. And you failed again." Avice ranted, sure, were sisters and I have seen that side of her before, but never this angry.

"I-I am sorry, your highness. What will I do now?" The footsteps start again but stop a second later.

"First the twins." Avice said, "the faster they're gone, the faster we can get rid of Ayeth." I hear myself gasp, and my sister rushing near the pillar. I turned my head a little to see her hand and her face began to peer over-

"Your highness," Starts the voice of Jaymes, my sister's hand let go as I hear her footsteps become more distant. "My Queen, I cannot find the Princess. Any idea on where she may have gone?"

"Jaymes, right?" My sister asks and then continues "My dear sister is recovering and I do feel grateful she is in good hands, but best to leave her alone." I hear Jaymes walking away, and I find this a perfect time to escape. I ran past the hall, thankfully, I didn't have shoes and my foot wrap made it simple to run without being seen.

Running obviously didn't feel great form my foot and I had to bite my lip a couple of times to stop myself from crying out. Even still, I avoided being seen, for the most part. Now, this means I need to figure out what Avice means by "Get rid of the twins".
