Dane woke up early that morning, how I know was because when I woke up, Jaymes; who was still in the covers next to me, was yelling for Dane to get out.

"Ayeth doesn't mind, do ya'?" He asked winking, and I grabbed a pillow and threw it at his head. Dane laughs, and to my surprise, so does Jaymes. I rub my eyes, and face plant back onto one of my pillows. The door opens abruptly and Meriall waltzes in.

"Princess, the Queen wants to speak with you," She looks around and back to me, fidgeting "Alone." I gulp.

                                                                                        ***

I make my way down to the Throne room and Avice sits there with a man I had never seen before. Quickly though, I realize his uniform in blue and black. I walk closer and Avice reaches her hand out to me.

"Sister." I acknowledge. She bows her head and leads me near her. She stands behind me, like she's showing me off to this man. He smiles and reaches his hand for my face.

"Let us go somewhere more private." He winks and I nearly puke. My sister nods and takes us all to the Garden Of Alxi, where she sits at a table and adjusts the dagger on her hip. The man reaches for me and I sink back a little.

"Avice, what is this?" I ask and she frowns. The lillies were flying in the warm breeze and my drapes ruffled.

"Sister, this is your legacy. Our legacy." She tries to explain and grabs the man's hand. He was about thirty years older than her and I look to Avice. Her face is solemn but there's a spark of enthusiasm.

"Avice-"

"I made a deal, sister," She says and the man grabs my hand. I look at his hand and a crowing ring is set on his finger. The King of Odelia. My breathing becomes short. "Ayeth, the war will be over, I will marry the king and the war will be over."

"W-what has that have to do with me?" I ask and her smile fades.

"I can't let any non-Odelia and Burden Ridge heirs be left alive, can I?" She asks and my heart stops. The King grabs out a dagger like the one that hangs of Avice's small body. I try to pull away but his movement is quick.

He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me against him. There isn't anything I can do, nothing left. He turns the knife on me. I scream.
