Chapter 25 - He Bought That?

Seth pov

"Hey what gives?" I ask Sam, who just elbowed me in the ribs.

"Look who it is." He says pointing to someone in the mall.

"Who?" I ask looking around.

"Brielle"

"Um .. I'll be right back?"

"Go get her dude."

I start walking off the the store that Brie just went into.

I have to say that the last two years have been good to Brie. With her slightly taller and more mature looking.

And there isn't a moment i regret breaking up with her.

Don't ask me why i did it. We all make mistakes. I just hope Brie likes second chances.

Thought she didn't so much the first time i talked to her... Maybe if i explain?

Explain what idiot?

Of course with me being the idiot i am. Well i was arguing with myself i wasn't watching where i was walking, and walked straight into something.

I look down at the girl in front of me. She's short with brown hair and blue eyes. I can't put a name to her but i think i know her.

"Oh excuse me!" She says.

"Um it's my fault?" I tell her.

"Really I'm sorry. See i was just walking and day dreaming not watching where i was going and bam walked right into you!" She rambled on.

"Right,"i say well i looked up at where i last saw Brie. She was gone. I started looking around the store for her. "I have to go." I tell the girl trying to step pass her.

The girl makes a nervous face. "Um ..it looks like your looking for something. What is it."

"Im looking for someone." I say.

"Who?" She looks up at me. I take a big breath.

"Can i help you with something?" I ask slightly rude.

"Oh." She looks taken back. "Well um" she frantically looks around the store. "I need to get that bag up there. Could um you grab it for me?"

"Is that all?" I ask.

"Yup!" She smiles popping the p.

I run over to get the bag quickly and more or less shove it at her.

"Oh um, never mind could you put it back for me?"

I sigh loudly hoping she would get hint. She doesn't.

"Fine but i seriously have to go find someone after."

"Okay!"

I shove the bag back on the shelf. Then spin around and scan the store.

I catch i glimpse of blonde hair flying out of the store.

Crap!

"Brie!" I call while running after her.

I get to the door just to see her run around the corner if the mall.

But when i make it to the corner she's no where to be found.

Damn!

I trudge back to Sam.

"I knew you repelled girls but i didn't know they'd actually run from you!" He laughs.

Gee thanks.

"Shut up! I'm going home!"

"Later dude."

Brielle pov

I run round the corner knowing he's hot on my tail. So i run into a store as soon as I'm out of view.

My phone starts buzzing.

'Hey i tried to stall him as long as i could.' - Audrey

'Thank you soo much! I'll meet you in the food court?' - Brie

'Already there lol!' - Audrey

I walk over to the food court not knowing i passed Sam on the way.

So when i felt a tap on the shoulder i was prepared to start running again.

"Why'd you run from Seth?"

"I wasnt running from Seth?" I tried playing dumb knowing it was my only way out of this. "I .." I quickly looked around for an excuse. Then i spotted my phone. "I left my phone in the last store we were in." I lie.

"We?"

Oh so close.

"Me and ..um my phone..."

"Yeah, who are you here with?"

I sigh. "My Friend Audrey."

"Cool so why were you and Audrey in a sports shop?" He asks.

"We weren't! We never went near a sports shop." Why would he think we did.

"Then why did you run into the sports shop to get your 'phone'?" He questions me.

Oh busted.

I guess i didn't even see what store i ran into, i just hid.

"I.. Um.. Well." I stutter slightly.

"So why'd you run from Seth?" He asks again.

Why? Because i can't talk or even see him because I'd run up to him and beg him to take me back. And i can't put myself though that.

"Because... I ..I didn't want to explode on him. Yeah see I'm so pissed at him I was about to start punching him." I state kinda proud of me excuse.

"Makes sense i guess." Yes he bought it. "Well are you ever going to get over your anger?"

What? "Oh um well I'm not sure. He did pretty much break me heart." I tell Sam.

"Yeah but what you don't know is that he broke his own heart." Sam muttered. I wasn't sure if i was suppose to hear it.

"What?"

"He just really wants to see you again." He says.

"Cuz that's going to happen..."

"It could?"

"Um well I have to go meet Audrey. Catch ya later!" I say kind of just walking away from Sam.

As i was walking i thought about what Sam had said. Did Seth actually break his own heart?

I decided to dismiss it as nothing.

"Hey what took you so long?" Audrey asks me.

"Sorry ran into Sam. He totally saw through our plan."

"Oh..."

"Yeah but it's cool. I told him I just didn't want to hit Seth so i had to run away."

She started laughing. "He bought that?" She asked between laughs.

"Yup!" And i started laughing too.
