I wasn't quite sure what woke me up but I was feeling very comfortable just then. I was lying down something warm and moving slowly up and down as if lulling me back to sleep.
Moving..? Huh?
Binuksan ko naman na yung mata ko nun and the first thing I saw was Jace's face, already looking at me.
Medyo disoriented pa ako and I wondered if I was dreaming. And then I remembered last night.
He told me he loves me for the first time. I mean, I was pretty sure he does na in the last few weeks, with everything he's doing for me and everything he says (he would casually talk about our future sometimes or tell me how he feels using different phrases other than those three words), pero kahapon lang niya sinabi yun. And it wasn't even grand or anything, pero yun yung pinakagusto ko about it. How spontaneous and simple it was, parang siya lang.
I smiled naman and gave him a good morning peck even when I feel like I'm still half asleep.
Nag-smile din naman siya sa'kin and caressed my face.
"Good morning, Dada." I told him sweetly. To be honest, sobrang nahiya ako nung first time na accidentally ko siyang matawag nun in person ('cause I've been calling him that in my head for a while na), but since he likes it so much, well, why not? Gusto ko rin naman when he refers to me as Ma especially when Lancy is part of the conversation.
"Good morning, my love." Sabi naman niya.
Okay, wait, parang gusto ko din yun.
But suddenly, a phone started ringing and Jace groaned.
"Sorry." He said and tried to move to get his phone from the table. I got up na from him, pero parang nag-pout siya sa movement ko. Natawa naman ako. He got his phone then tapos nag-groan uli siya.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Cha." Sabi naman niya. "I don't know why she's calling. Ang aga-aga." He complained.
Sinagot naman niya yung phone niya and they talked for a moment while I went to the kitchen to prepare some food na, both for Lancy and his Dada.
Inuna ko na yung kay Lancy since maglalagay lang naman ako ng dog food and milk sa bowl and was about to start on our breakfast naman nung lumapit sa'kin si Jace.
"Gee, andyan pala si Cha. Balik muna ako ng condo ko ha?" Nagpaalam naman siya.
Medyo nagulat naman ako. "Huh? May problem ba?"
He sighed, looking frustrated. "She said she wants to meet you." He rolled his eyes. I giggled.
"Siguro let's have breakfast out na lang?" Tanong naman niya.
Nag-nod naman ako. "Sige. Mag-shower lang ako tapos punta na lang ako sa inyo." Sabi ko naman.
He nodded and moved closer to kiss me on the forehead. "Sorry about this ha." Sabi naman niya.
I shook my head. "Okay lang naman, I want to meet your sister, too." I said. "Pero kasama ba natin si Lancy?"
He smiled naman. "Of course."
I nodded. "Okay, sige na, puntahan mo na si Cha. We'll just get ready."
He sighed looking as if that was the last thing he wanted to do. I laughed at him.
"Bilis na!" I said, pushing him a little playfully.
"Fine, fine." He said, pero nakasmile na rin naman siya.
Nagpaalam naman muna siya kay Lancy--who was still eating, by patting him on his head, then lumabas na rin ng condo.
