It was still quite dark when I woke up. I look at Gee's clock naman and saw it was only past 4AM. I'm not quite sure why I woke up but I wasn't very sleepy anymore. Actually, medyo nauuhaw ako.
I looked at Gee naman who was still fast asleep. I smiled and leaned in to kiss her on the nose. She smiled in her sleep and I couldn't be any more happy. Tumayo na muna ako nun and wore my boxers since I was feeling thirsty talaga. I'll just go and get a glass of water.
Paglabas sa room, nadaanan ko naman si Lancy sa playpen niya and he's already awake. Not really thinking much, I let him out and let him follow me to the kitchen. Maybe he'll like some milk, too, since nauuhaw ako. We've (me and Gee) noticed me and Lancy being in sync for a while now and it's really really weird but moments like this, you just kinda accept it. It helps anyways. Alam agad namin kung anong need ni Lancy.
I gave him his milk, got my water then went back to the room uli, with Lancy following me.
My eyes went to Gee uli and I noticed she moved, but was still fast asleep. I actually have a few more hours before I need to go (my in is 8am now), but Gee needs to get up soon.
Well, I think I'll let her sleep for a few more minutes.
"Lancy, don't wake Mama up okay?" I told Lancy quietly.
Tumabi naman uli ako sa kanya while si Lancy, mukhang content naman na na andun lang sa baba ng kama, directly below Gee.
For a few moments, I just watched Gee sleep.
For a dog lover, Gee was a lot like a cat when she's sleeping. She's always curled up into a ball and she had this habit of nuzzling her face in her pillow or else on my chest or shoulder--whatever it is that she can reach, anyway.
She moved then at medyo bumaba yung comforter namin and well... I have seen her a lot of times na, of course, but I'm still a guy, and I'm in love with this woman so I couldn't really help my reaction.
But, it was morning and she'd have to get ready soon, so lumapit na lang ako to pull the comforter up and cover her chest. But I think my movement woke her up because she started slowly opening her eyes.
"Sorry." I told her.
She was smiling but still with her eyes half close. "Good morning, Dada."
I smiled and kissed her on her nose. "Good morning. You still have about 5 minutes to spare."
"I think I'll get up na." She said naman.
She started sitting up and stretching at nahulog nanaman yung comforter.
I felt something moved from under the bed and I groaned, already having a hunch what's happening down there.
Nanlaki mata ni Gee nun and I guess she realized na nakikitaan na siya cause she pulled the comforter to cover herself. She probably already knows what's going on, too.
"Sorry." I couldn't help but say.
"Where's my teddy bear???"
