There it happened again, the same repetitive dream every night that I've had for the past year. Standing on my four legs while a man, I'd say about five-ten, five-eleveen at most appeared only when I closed my eyes. He touched my fur and I felt a sense of content in his presence, only for him to dissapear when I had woken up from my deep slumber. I could remember every physical feature he had contained: green eyes, mixed skin, very well-defined arms, and his face showed his natural beauty above all. He had the physical appearance of an angel that had fallen out of the sky to this place.

I attempted to shake off the repulsive thought dominating my mind. I could not seem to get my brain to cooperate because he was just stuck there, and I had no escape from what my mind was imagining if I had such a beautiful human being like that. Instantly my head went blank shortly after Izzy, my best friend and sister, calls me for breakfast; It would appear that I had overslept due to the same repeating dream, that had only seemed like a memory taking its place in my life.

"How did you sleep Ruby"

"I apologize for my late rising today, I had the same dream again and I had slept rather terribly"

"You know, if this dream keeps finding its way back to your nights, you should really find out what it means, no dream repeats like this unless they mean something"

"I am aware, but it is so difficult to understand this entire thing when I'm so confused, and my head refuses to comply with my demands to think straight"

"Yes, but you seem to have had it for quite some time, and I think I would love to provide some assistance to help you find out what it means"

"Well...It would allow me to stop going kahoots for trying to decode the meaning..."

I thought about it fir a brief moment, and gave her the benefit of the doubt

"Ok, I am willing to accept your help, but please be careful if this involves your power"

"Don't fear my dear sister, I use it all the time and no one notices, and after this we can enjoy ourselves with some coffee and cake down at the coffee shop, how does that sound?"

"Like heaven, you always know exactly what to say"

"Dont I always? Now dont move and follow my directions very carefully so I can perform my ability and help you out here"

Izzy moves her hands and gives Ruby specific instructions to sit on the floor and place them facing down on hers. Ice began to fill the room in a cool icy breeze, as Ruby closed her eyes and there it was, the forbidden place to think of, and among other things, men running and shouting begging for mercy.

"Now, what do you see Ruby?"

It's....

My body began to shake and twitch, and after it all happened, the scene was so strong I fell back, and Izzy helped me up asking me what I witnessed in the vision. I was far too shocked to let a word escape my lips, I dare not speak of what I saw, and what happened in this flashing nightmare, which I thought was just the same simple dream finding it's way back to me coincidentally. I've no clue what was about to come next, but I knew I had to do something to find the inner peace within myself. It was all just a blur as the day went by.

Me and Izzy helped ourselves at the coffee shop downtown, in the heart of North Carolina, I was so concerned with the same thought over-and-over again. Never have I suffered such an outrage in my life, let alone wind up in this hole that I could not climb out of. As I took a sip of the coffee, I had "the look" the same one that brings Izzy to question what's bothering me. Normally it would turn into an interrogation, but this time, she just allowed me to cool off from the most disgraceful scene I had ever laid my eyes upon. I ordered a small piece of cake since I had been avoiding sweets as of late, hoping this would calm me down and keep my thoughts in check as I enjoyed the savory flavor of it. I was licking my lips, enjoying the sweet taste of the pumpkin that this cake held.

I suddenly felt my body returning to its normal responses again; and I was able to get it to agree with me in that exact moment to lay off the thought for a little while and focus.

"I must say Izzy, it was a wonderful idea that you suggested for us to come down here and clear my head. You always have the right plans when it comes to me"

"Nobody knows my sister better than I, dont ever forget it."

Even though me and Izzy were not biologically related, we've built a friendship of confidence, love, and being able to confide in each other with anything that was on our mind. I could never imagine a better friend and sister in one. She is the only person I've ever trusted, though i've only known her for a whole year and a half, I know in all her regards she could never betray me no matter what happens to the two of us. I would give my life up for her. Just like she would do the exact same with me.

I know a real person when I see one, and she was most-definitley a real one with morals and limits. She always knew how to state the harsh- brutal cold truth to me, literally. I'd remember when I was being a fool and she froze my ass when I wasn't doing the right thing. Then she told me off in the way it was meant to be, and I had corrected my behavior. She has been my guidance for most of my years, just like I was her guide when she needed assistance. Sometimes I use my abilities to burn her slightly and heal her later; we correct each other violently if neccessary, especially when one of us becomes stubborn and refuse to listen to the advice being provided.

As the day went by, me and Izzy got ready for bed. I was nervous, but I needed my body to rest. As I laid in my comfortable bed, the feeling of my body pushing itself into the soft sheets, made me slowly shut my eyes, as Izzy did the same. The peace lasted temporarily when the dream decided to disturb my slumber. I saw fire spreading through the forest, and the same man coming to my body, gently touching my fur. As soon as the screaming began to intensify, I woke up and the echoed yells came to a silence. As usual the same dream came to ruin my "normal" life. Not that it was truly normal anyways.
