Lin's plan

Taks breathing hitched as her eyes landed on it... Lins pak. It was laying on the other end of the table. Tak heard the 10 minute countdown, it was obvious to her.

Lin was attacked.

Someone attacked her and stole her pak, yet left it in arms reach? With no time to spare Tak scooped the pak up and placed it firmly on Lins back. She wanted hopefully as Lin lifted her head of the table and looked around cautiously.

"Hi Tak," She said warmly, locking eyes with her ally. Tak launched herself at Lin, grabbing her by the shoulders and holding her close.
"WHO DID THIS TO YOU? LEMME AT THEM!" She yelled, panic flooding her and tears blurring her vision. Thoughts of how easily she could've lost Lin swarmed her...

"I think you have the wrong idea, dear." Lin patted Tak gently.
"H-huh?" Tak felt cold as she let Lin go.
"No one did this to me," She smiled "This is part of my new, better plan!"
"Your plan is to k-kill yourself?" Tak cried.

"No, no. My plan is to survive without my Pak by taking it off for extended amounts of time until I can live without it."
"But why?"

"What's the problem, dear?" Lin asked the distressed Scorn.
"I was exploring and I was in the Meeting hall when I saw the Tallest and Verk. I was hidden so they couldn't see me. They were talking about this machine they made that scans the pak for defectiveness and I remembered hearing about your hypnotism plan, it won't work! But my plan is bound to work, if you can live without your pak and then destroy it you can take your death and escape! It's foolproof, don't tell anyone though."

"I see, thank you Scorn. I'll do that."

...

"You IDIOT!" Tak yelled, "He's trying to KILL YOU!"
"But whatever for?"
"For your plan! That scanning device probably isn't even fucking real!" She screamed.
"Gosh Tak, I thought I could trust you!"
"W-what?"
"Cleary it's you who wants me dead!"
"NO, NO I DONT!" Tak yelled out in fear "I DONT WANT YOU TO DIE BECAUSE YOU FOOLISHLY TOOK OFF YOUR PAK!"
"Skoodge can live without a pak why not I?"

"WAIT, SKOODGE! HE HAS NO PAK AND IS HERE STILL!"
"That's because he's not working with Scorn! I think you just want me to be found out so you can get me killed!"
"That's not- ARGH! FUCK YOU LIN I CANT STAND THIS!" Tak was balling her eyes out in pure frustration and fear.

"I DONT WANT YOU TO DIE, I... I LOVE YOU, OKAY?"
"I thought I loved you, but you are selfish." Lin glared at Tak "Goodbye Tak, this is the end of our alliance. I never should of accepted." And with that she stormed off.

Tak pressed herself up against the wall and just started crying.
"Unless Lin changed her mind that was it." She had to do something, anything, all with running the risk of being caught. But she was determined to save Lin.

...

"So I couldn't find much, I'll try again later." Skoodge said to Zim, "But I did run into this angry little Service drone. She was pissed at me for using the library. She was probably shorter then you,"
Zim snorted.
"Impressive, if true. I think I heard of her, I think her name's Vox." Zim recalled "She always was annoying."

Skoodge and Zim were sitting inside Skoodges room.
"Is your room any different to mine? Skoodge asked.
"Not really, there's a leak in mine though."
"Aren't you allergic to water, that must suck."
"It does," Zim sighed.
"If you want you could always... Stay in my room?" Skoodge offered nervously.
"I'd like that, thanks." Zim replied, equally as nervous.

There were a few minutes of awkward silence.
"Yknow,, I'm really glad we're working together. Even though you're really, really annoying sometimes. You're still kinda cool..." Skoodge admitted.
"W-well, I think you're alright too.." Zim fidgeted anxiously "And I'm glad we're fr-Allies."

"When we get out of here maybe we'll still stick together." Skoodge thought.
"But if I cure myself... I won't like you anymore..."
"Then don't cure yourself, you don't need to be cured. I prefer you the way you are now."
"But... Why?"
"Because I... Nevermind, just... Trust me."

"...Ok, I will."

Zak ran through the halls, Yelk lagged behind her.
"Come on slowpoke, Scorn finally convinced Lin to go with our shitty plan with the pak. Apparently she even fell for the 'defect scanner." Zak laughed.
"To be honest I expected better of a Smeetery Queen..." Yelk admitted.
"Eh, it's clear how desperate she is to get the fuck out of here!"

Zak stopped by the door, by Lins door. Scorn has already busted the door open. Zak shoved the door wide open and inside the uncomplete hypnotism machine was laying on top of Lins bed. Zak rubbed her hands together greedily, She snatched the device up and shoved it inside a pocket in her Pak.

"All we need to do now is finish it, how hard can it be?"
