***RYANS POV***
We walked into the doctor to check out Abi's ankle, and we sat down. I got back up to sign papers, and then handed them back to the nurse. I sat back down to Abi and grabbed her hand.
"Hey, your ankle feeling better?" I asked.
"It's okay...but it still hurts." She said quietly.
"Well, the nurse said 5 mins so we shouldn't be here too long." I sighed and gave her a hug. I pulled her close to me and she wrapped her hands around my neck. She's so cute. I pulled away slowly and the nurse opened the door.
"Abigail Edwards?" She asked.
"That's me." Abi said standing up on her good leg and resting her arm on my shoulder helping her walk.
"What's the problem?" The doctor asked as we walked into his room.
"I was walking with my boyfriend and I twisted my ankle. And it hurts..." Abi quietly responded, all of a sudden becoming shy. The doctor looked at Abi's ankle and felt the muscles in it, and then he took an X-Ray of her ankle and wrote stuff down.
"Yeah you have a high ankle sprain." The doctor said. He went and grabbed crutches and a boot for Abi. He came back and put the boot on Abi, then handed me the crutches to hold.
"How does the boot feel?"
"Okay I guess.." Abi said sadly.
"Okay well that's it! Thanks for coming here!" The doctor said heading out the door. I gave Abi her crutches and I walked and she crutched out of the building. I helped Abi into my car and then got in and we drove off.
"I'm sorry you have to have that on for a whole month. That sucks." I said.
"It's okay, it's not your fault.." Abi said obviously upset that she's injured. I turned on the radio and Beautiful Day by U2 was on. We continued to drive until we got back to the hotel room.
"Finally you guys are back!" Ian complained.
"CAN I PLAY WITH YOUR CRUTCHES!?!?!" Jamie screamed and took them from Abi making her fall.
"JAMIE!" I yelled.
"Whoops sorry! Just set her on the bed!" He replied with a solution. I picked her up bridal style and set her down on the bed.
"Thanks Ryan." She said as she nuzzled he head against my chest. I turned on the tv and watched for a while, as Abi slept. My phone buzzed on the bedside table beside me and I managed to grab it with out waking Abi up. I looked at the text from Ian, WTF! He is right across the room.
I- Hey sorry I'm bored and I can't talk to you cause of Abi sleeping, what's up?
R- it's ok. And nothingg. Haha I can't really do anything..
I- You could probably get up if you wanted.
R- No I want to stay here...
I- Why?
R- because...
I- You really like her don't you?
R- God damn Ian. Haha why you gotta be all up in my grill? Haha.
I- Cause I'm the parent and I say so!
R- Bull Shark.
I- Whatever, but fo serious. Have you guys said I Love You yet?
R- No, I said it once but when she was sleeping, she didn't hear it.
I- Kissed yet?
R- No.
I- Man what is with you? You kissed a girl on the first date before!?
R- She's different.
I- Okay well I'm hungry! So I'm gonna go get food. Want anything?
R- Whatever looks good! Thanks Ian!
I- Welcome!
I slid my phone back onto the table and returned my gaze back on the TV, well Family Guy is great when there's sound but since Abi is sleeping I can't have volume. Ugh. Oh well, I felt a movement and Abi flipped over to face me, her eyes sparkled, those green orbs changed from green to blue within seconds, I blinked and I missed it.
"Hey.." She said groggily.
"Hi, your eyes changed?"
"They do that...." She sighed.
"What?" I asked.
"It's just that my eyes only change color when I'm either upset or I'm sick." Abi said quietly. I felt her forehead and she didn't have a fever.
"What's wrong?" I asked playing with a strand of her hair.
"Oh, well I'm just upset because of my ankle, I really wanna be okay to be on tour, and I don't wanna have to walk around with a boot and crutches."
"I know but it will all be ok soon, I promise." I stroked her hair and then braided it.
"Abi?" I said.
"Yeah?" She turned her head towards me and I pulled her head closer and I kissed her. I felt a whole cage of butterflies release inside of me. I pulled away and smiled at her. She smiled back and her eyes went back to green, her normal color. She was happy again.
"Thank you." She said quietly.
