They walked down to the beach together, hand in hand. When they reached the soft sand, Michael searched for a hidden spot, "I think there might be something over there to hide behind." James allowed himself to be dragged along by Michael behind a rock.
He was pushed against it as Michael began to make out with him. James pushed him away, "Don't do anything yet, I want to know what will happen with us... Do you want to be boyfriends or just have casual sex?" Michael chuckled and caressed his cheek, "I want us to be together, of course."
They smiled at each other but before they could continue, a voice entered Michael's head, "Hello? Michael? Are we making the switch?"
"Yes of course but I need to know how we should use the powers. We are only amateurs!"
"Well it's a prophecy for someone to take our places and defeat the Sentinals. I believe you can do it."Michael grabbed James' hand and asked for a final time, "Are you ready to do this?" He nodded and allowed Michael to do everything he needed to. He asked Charles to make it happen and they began to feel dizzy and disoriented.
"I love you Michael." James said as he fell over from the feeling. Slowly, they noticed that their surrounding were changing to a destroyed world. Michael closed his eyes to avoid throwing up and felt his body being somewhere else.
"James? Where are you?" He yelled out to him. A groan came from the floor beside him and next to him lay James looking just like Erik. The older version of Erik.
"Michael? You're in a wheelchair..." He said curiously, "I thought he had that drug to give him control of his legs again."
"He stopped doing that a long time ago, remember? Haven't you read the comics and seen the older films?"A strange sound came from the distance that did not sound like the evil mutant killers. It had to be one of the other villains from the comics. It could be literally anything but it was hard to tell what.
"James, we have to get to somewhere hidden. I need to check Charles is okay." Michael said as he watched James walked off into the distance. Being in a wheelchair was horrible and he couldn't believe that he was going to have to struggle.
"James! You dick! I don't know how to use a wheelchair!" He yelled to his boyfriend. James turned back around and ran back to him, "Sorry, I'll push you around now." He proceeded to do so across the barren world.
This could be our future...A apocalyptic wasteland... James thought, knowing Michael could hear it. They both were stunned by how ruined the world had become so crap. This must be the time when Raven had killed that guy, whose name neither of them could remember, and they took her blood for the Sentinals.
They found a little bit of a wall left over that was perfect cover for them. Michael did the cool 'fingers-on-the-temple' thing Charles was known for and tried to talk to him, Charles? Did you make it safely?
"Oh, thank you for freeing us from HELL, Michael. You're so naïve! Me and Erik died ages ago but thank you for giving us your bodies. We're going to destroy everything you love!"He began sobbing. How could he have been so stupid? There was no real reason why they should have been given these powers except for to let them steal everything.
"Michael? What did he say?" James asked, on his knees in front of the wheelchair. He whispered, "I'm so stupid...They want to destroy our world and made the switch to put us in hell and them in our world."
James leaned in and kissed Michael on the forehead, "It's okay, you wanted to help people. That's everything you have learned. We have to get home now though and stop them now."
How the fuck would I do that!?
