*Umbridge's Room*

Both Potter and I arrived for our punishment early as we wanted it to be over and done with as Slytherin would be playing Gryffindor tomorrow so we wanted as much sleep as we could possibly get. Umbridge let us in and had this evil type of grin when she did, she said she need to pop out to get the parchment we would be writing on and a extra quill for me.

"Well hello Potter nice to see you" I said trying to be as pleasant as I could even though I had a particular distaste towards the scrawny Gryffindor.

"Wish I could say the same" he murmured under his breath, which caused me to raise my eyebrow at him but I knew I had to stay calm and not say anything even though he always caused my blood to boil.

"I see you don't enjoy pleasantries Potter, honestly I was just trying to be nice" I said which caused his eyes to widen he had a look of sympathy on his face and it seemed as if he was going to apologise but Umbridge came bursting in before he could.

"Hello children, I have everything you require, you won't be needing any ink for these quills by the way they are a special type" she said once again that evil grin present on her face, this had me worried.

"What would you like us to write?" I asked and Potter nodded as if he wanted to ask the same question.

"Well Mr Potter I want you to write I must not tell lies and you Miss Rowell I must not speak out of turn" she said once again missing a key detail which Harry flagged her up on.

"How many times should we write it Professor?" He asked and once again an evil smirk appeared on her face.

"Let's just say as many times as it takes to sink in" she replied the smirk now even more prominent on her face.

Both Potter and I started writing, while I was writing I could feel like a burning sensation on the back of my right hand and as I turned to look at Harry I could see the pain in his face too then I glanced at his hand and saw the sentence 'I must not tell lies'.

I knew this woman was evil but not this evil, she honestly is a close second to Voldemort himself, at least he didn't pretend to be sweet and kind.

"Yes Mr Potter?" She said as she came round the front of his table and looked him in the eye.

"Nothing" he said which shocked me as he would jump on any occasion to have a go at her.

"Yes because you know deep down you deserved to be punished" she said, Potter kept a straight face but I couldn't stand her and once again I spoke out of turn.

"Oh shut up he hasn't done anything wrong and he most definitely doesn't deserve this punishment, he wasn't lying then and if he said it again he wouldn't be lying now, Voldemort is back and there's nothing you can do but accept it" I shouted which caused both Harry and Umbridge to look taken aback.

"I see that your lines aren't really helping you understand Miss Rowell, so you can do twice as much and also please like Mr Potter write I must not tell lies since that seems to be a problem for you too" Umbridge replied which caused me to groan maybe I should learn how to not speak out of turn.

*Two Hours Later*

Harry and I were finally let out of that cruel punishment, he had 'I must not tell lies' etched onto the back of his left hand while I had that and 'I must not speak out of turn' on my right.

We both exited in silence but once we were out of Umbridge's office Harry stopped me from walking away by grabbing my arm.

"Thanks for sticking up for me in there didn't really think I'd ever see a day like that coming" he said which caused me to smile a bit.

"Yeah it's alright but don't get used to it Potter" I replied to him which he nodded in response to.

"I don't think I ever can really" he answered back which caused me to laugh a little and him as well.

We both went our separate ways he went up to the Gryffindor common room while I went down to the Slytherin one. Never to this day did I image myself actually helping Potter.

*The Next Day*

I made my way to the Slytherin table in the great hall, today was the day we would face Gryffindor in a Quidditch match. The atmosphere was thick as there was a fierce rivalry between the two houses.

I sat down next to Dylan who was also on the Quidditch team, he was the Slytherin keeper and was really good if you ask me.

"You ready for today?" he asked as I started taking some toast from the basket in front of me.

"Honestly I don't think I'll be on my A game today, it really hurts to use my hand" I said as I showed him the results of Umbridge's detention yesterday.

"That looks painful, I can't believe she did this to you" he said and I nodded with a slight frown on my face.

"I'll probably have to sit out this game, they must have a sub who can play for me today" I said even though I loved playing against Gryffindor I knew I'd really only cost the team the game if I played.

"No you have to play you're the best chaser on our team" he said and I shock my head, he did have a point unfortunately.

"I'll see what I can do probably just got to put ice on it hopefully that'll numb the pain for a while" I said which he nodded in response to and we continued our conversation while having breakfast.

As I got up to leave I heard someone shout my name I turned around to see Hermione walking towards me.

"Hey Granger what do you need?" I said once she finally approached me.

"Harry told me that Umbridge made you do lines in detention and used that horrendous quill on you too so I have this special lotion which causes it to disappear for a while and numbs the pain" she said which I thought was very kind of her to offer.

"Alright I'll use it" I said which then made her take it out of the top pocket of her shirt and then she grabbed my hand and applied it and within seconds it started to disappear and I felt no pain.

"Thanks Granger" I said and she began to walk away until I grabbed her arm to stop her.

"Oh and it's nice to see you have me on your mind" I said with a smirk which caused her to roll her eyes but I could see a faint blush appear on her checks.

"Whatever Rowell" she said while smiling and then took her arm from my grip and walked away.

*After the Quidditch match*

Slytherin won which came as a shock to most of us as we hadn't beaten Gryffindor since my 3rd year. Harry still caught the snitch but we managed to rack up enough points to be able to pull off the win, I scored many of them but it was a team effort honestly can't wait to rub this in the Gryffindors faces.
