*Time Skip: 2 weeks later*

Alicia sat on the Slytherin table alone today was the first game of the Quidditch season and it was Gryffindor vs Slytherin, and as the captain of the team she couldn't be seen fraternising with the enemy. Alicia looked down at her plate still as full as it was 20 minutes ago she just couldn't bring herself to eat anything, the nerves were really getting to her.

A clatter of plates brought her attention away from her food and she was surprised to see Dylan taking a seat across from her, her eyebrows rose up and her mouth was glued shut. The pair hadn't spoken properly for weeks maybe a small hi or a quick nod in the hallway but other than that, both their stubborn natures stopped them from conversing.

"Are you going to keep staring at me or actually eat your food?" Dylan spoke and Alicia's heart fluttered, she missed his voice and his snarky tone even though it did get on her nerves most of the time.

"I-.. I'm not really in the mood for eating" Alicia responded, trying to hold back her smile and remain neutral after all the duo had yet to make up.

"Listen here Alicia, it's a big game and I know how you are during games where you've not eaten before, you start slacking and today is not the day for that so eat the food or I swear I will force it down your throat" Dylan said half playful yet half serious at the same time.

"Fine" Alicia replied trying to hide the small smile that was appearing on her face, after weeks of not talking she was happy to see that Dylan still cared for her more even if he tried to hide it behind a flimsy excuse. She started to munch on her breakfast while having a bit of small talk with Dylan they had a lot to catch up on even though neither had apologised they were once again speaking as if nothing had happened. In reality Dylan was the person in the world she loved the most and living without him these past few weeks had been torture she was glad to finally have him back.

After about half an hour both Dylan and Alicia had finished eating their food and were on their way to the Slytherin changing room, Alicia feeling especially nervous since this was her first match as captain and she really wanted to fix her ever dwindling reputation amongst the other slytherins and this match would prove as a big turning point. Therefore Alicia had to make sure she and the whole team were on their A game.

"Al, I can feel you thinking you really need to get out of that head of yours" Dylan said to the nervous wreck of a girl that was walking beside him.

"I'm just worried I know how important this match is to everyone and how it really sets the tone for my captaincy this year and I just don't want to lose you know and the Slytherin's already hate me so and-" Alicia spewed out, not really knowing where to start and how to explain half of the nerves she was feeling.

"Alicia stop, you need to chill out the more you worry the worse you'll feel and that's not good for anyone, you've been training the team and yourself so hard for this match and we'll be fine just relax and put on a cool face" Dylan tried reassuring his best friend which was somewhat help, Alicia did realise that the attitude and aura she brings into the dressing room would really shape how everyone else on the team would feel so she needed to calm down at least for the team's sake.

"Alright I'm calm" Alicia said with a deep breath which caused Dylan to pat her shoulder as they continued walking towards the quidditch pitch.

*In the Quidditch Changing Room*

The whole slytherin team stood behind the door that separated them from the pitch itself everyone was a bundle of nerves Slytherin hadn't beaten Gryffindor for last 6 years and expectations from the house was high as it always was every year you would think that after losing consistently for that long would cause the house members to give up hope but no each year the expectations grew in hopes that one year that Slytherin's losing streak to Gryffindor would finally be broken.

The team were very of these expectations set out for them by their fellow housemates and it was causing a huge panic among the team members. Alicia stood silently but she knew if they went out like this, they would definitely lose and that it was done to her to rally the team and boost the ever dwindling hope within them.

"Listen up everyone I know how difficult this fixture has been for us for the last few years but having this losing mentality will get us nothing but a lose and that's something we definitely not what we want so go play out there like we're the one with a winning streak to defend, like we're the ones who have it easy and give those Gryffindor hell!" Alicia shouted hoping her cheesy pep talk would get the team fired up and to her surprise she heard loud cheers from her teams and for once in a long time they looked united and she smiled quietly to herself maybe she was cut out for this job.

"Great pep talk captain, really lit a fire under everyone's arse" Cordelia said as she walked towards Alicia who was at the front of the line, Alicia gave her a grateful smile and wrapped an arm around the shorter girl's shoulder.

"Show that Potter who's the better seeker for me will you it's about time he got a bit of competition for that best seeker spot and you are going to give him a run for his money I believe in you" Alicia said to the other girl which caused her to blush and thank you her with a shy smile.

Right after there was a knock on the changing room door signalling for the team to come out it was now or never, it was Alicia's chance to show Harry that she was equally as good as him and put the chosen one who had been acting awfully high and mighty recently in his place.
