Josh follows Gerard out of the marketplace and into the desert, with Frank trailing behind.
"I know you have special talents, boy, and I need your help." Gerard told him.
"Special talents, huh? What kind of help?" Josh asked.
"There is an enchanted cave that contains many wonders."
"We call it, "the Cave of Wonders"!" Frank said.
"Deep within the cave, there is a lamp I need you to fetch for me. But, you must be sure to touch only the lamp."
"What do you want with a lamp?" Josh asked.
"Sentimental value." Gerard replied. "We'll make it worth your while."
To prove his point, Gerard holds out another bag of coins.
"You've heard of the golden rule, haven't you?" He asked.
"No." Josh said.
"Whoever has the gold, makes the rules."
"But why me?" Josh asked.
"You're nimble... stealthy... skilled. Instead of thieving, wouldn't you like to use your talents to make a name for yourself? To something that would make any mother proud?"
Josh started putting the offer into mind.
"Well..."
"You've almost got him!" Frank cried. "Mention the boy!"
"And perhaps impress a certain... Prince?" Gerard said.
Josh begins to remember Tyler, and he agrees to Gerard's deal.
"Which way is this cave of yours?"
"That's the spirit!" Gerard cried. "And here we are..."
Suddenly, the entrance to the cave appears.
"Step forward, boy!"
As Josh approaches, the cave bellows.
Who disturbs my slumber?!
"Uh, it is I... Joshua Dun."
You are the Diamond in the Rough, the one whose worth lies within. You may enter.
"Now, fetch me the lamp!" Gerard shouted. "And touch nothing else!"
"Right, only the lamp. Here goes nothing..."
"Good luck!" Frank cried.
They both watch as Josh enters the cave.
"At last!" Gerard cried.
Together, they share a devious laughter of joy.
Inside the cave, Josh is stunned and amazed by the treasures that surround him.
"Whoa!" Josh said. "Would you look at all this treasure!"
He starts looking for the lamp.
"Okay, if I were a lamp, where would I..."
Suddenly, he sees the lamp displayed among the riches.
"That couldn't be it."
Josh looks up the entrance of the cave.
"There's a lamp down here, but it's not much to look at!"
"That's it!" Gerard cried from the outside. "Bring it to me now!"
Josh picks up the lamp with his hands.
"All right, I've got it."
As he prepares to leave, he sees a necklace that looks exactly like the one from the marketplace.
"Egyptian jade. Fit for a prince."
Mesmerized, Josh touches the necklace.
Suddenly, the cave begins to collapse.
You have touched the forbidden treasures!
Josh steps back in fear.
"I wasn't going to take it!"
You shall never see the light of day again!
"Noooooo!"
The cave collapses, and Josh is knocked to the ground, trapping him inside.
