Ever since I have found out that Brianna is my daughter, we have been spending a lot of time together. She had shown me an album that consisted of all her pictures growing up from she was a baby until now. She has even met my mother and surprising that went well.

A week has now passed and it was Wednesday and I was in class teaching my students. I was playing a game with them to teach them numbers.

"Good job, Daniel. There are four balls in the box" I applaud Daniel. "Who's next!"

"Me miss, me miss, me miss!" They all shouted at once. I laughed, "Come along, Marisa"

Marisa ran up to the front of the class and pick out an item out of the bag that I was holding. It was a picture of a pencil. "All right, Marisa. Go over to the box and tell me how much pencil are in there" she ran over to the box and picked up two pencils.

"Two" she grin showing a missing tooth.

"Very good, Marisa. One...two" I said indicating the items for the rest of the class to see. The game was continued for the rest of the class and then the class was over.

"Remember class we should clean up before we go so our classroom can be clean" I reminded my class three students.

"Yes Miss!" They chorused and began picking up garbage from the ground.

"Bits of paper, bits of paper. Lying on the ground, lying on the ground. Makes the place untidy, makes the place untidy. Pick them up, pick them up" I clapped and sang while the children joined in. After the place was clean, we said our prayers and class was let out for the day.

I gathered the items that I used for today's lesson and went to my car with them. I went in my car and head straight to Ryan's house.

I pulled up at the gate and exited my car. As I was walking up to the front door, it swung open and Brianna ran out to meet me.

"Lindsey! You're here" she grabbed my hand, "Come on" she said pulling me in the house.

"Where's your father?" I asked her as she sat me down on the couch and turn in the direction of her room.

"He's around the back. Wait there, I'll be back. I want you to help me with something" she said and ran to her room. She was back shortly with a notebook and her pencil. She came and sat beside me. "I was doing this problem that I got in class today, but I stopped because I couldn't do it no more" she said putting the book in her lap and turning the pages to the page she was looking for.

"Anymore, Brianna" I corrected her.

"Oh. Anymore" she said and grinned.

"Here let me see" I looked at the page that she just found and realized that she was doing a math problem and was stuck on a step. Thank God it was a math problem that I understand how to do. I explained to her how to solve the problem and was about to help her with the next question, but she pulled away.

"No. I wanna try these myself first. I think I remember how to do the rest. Thanks" she got up and went to sit on the front step to finish her homework. Just then, I heard the back door opened and then Ryan walked in the living room.

"Oh. You're here" he walked over to me and gave me a kiss on the mouth.

"Yeah. I want to ask you something" I stated. "Do you and Brianna want to help me re-paint the school's playground on Labour Day. Other teachers will be there as well"

"Of course. That's sounds fun. I was wondering what to do this Labour Day" he said sitting beside me and wrapping his hand around my shoulder, "By the way, how can I say no? I get to spend the day with you"

"Yeah. How can you miss that opportunity" I smiled at him.

It was now Monday the 23 of May and Ryan, Brianna and I were painting the school's playground along with other teachers and parents. Well Brianna was not painting, she and some other teachers where pulling weeds from around the school building. We were all wearing similar T-shirt and jeans. On the T-shirts were the words, 'Set A Plan and Give A Helping Hand'.

"Daddy! Lindsey! I'm finished pulling weed from around the school's building" Brianna called as she ran up to us. Her hair that had bubbles was in three. The red ribbon that was in the top of her hair that had become untied blew in the wind. "I'm going to go over there and pull the weeds there" she said indicating the swing set.

"OK Bri" Ryan shouted at her.

"That girl is full of energy" I said dipping the paint brush in the can of red paint. Ryan and I were currently painting the monkey bars, "And very helpful"

"Yeah. She is like that. Very friendly and helpful. Now I know where she gets it from" Ryan replied smiling.

I looked over to where Brianna was busy pulling weeds. She really was a great girl and I'm so glad I found her. I looked up at Ryan and returned his smile. He really was something. I'm glad I have him in my life.

When I started out I never expected all this. I have not only found my daughter but I have found someone special and I have come to care deeply for both of them.
