Epilogue: Together Forever

Two Months Later

"Come on Lindsey. Come into the water" Brianna shouted at to me from the water. Ryan, Brianna and I were at the beach but I was lounging around on the sand while Ryan and Brianna were in the water. I sighed and got up.

"OK, OK. I'm coming" I ran over to Brianna and splashed water on her. She shrieked and splashed me back. We played around in the water until we were tired and went back to sit on the sand.

After a while Brianna got up from the sand and turned, "Mummy, help me collect seashells" she exclaimed in excitement. I was stunned. This was the first time she had called me mummy and I felt my heart warmed at the title. Brianna's eyes widen as she realize what she had said and added quickly, "I can call you that, can I?" She asked in a low voice.

"Of course Brianna" I replied with a smile.

"OK. I want to call you that. Come on" she said tugging on my hand. I got up and helped her collect seashells. We were at the beach for quiet some time now so we decided to go home. I have been spending most nights at Ryan's house lately, I might as well move in but I have not moved in. Yet.

When we got home, it was late so Brianna went to bed. I sat on the couch and a while later Ryan came and joined me.

"She is so tired. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow" Ryan said sitting beside me.

I laughed, "Well she did exhaust herself today. She really loves the beach. It seems as if she can swim more than me" I mused.

"I realize" he said. The corner of his mouth lifting up into a smile.

I punched him on the shoulder, "Hey! You don't need to rub it in" I replied. Ryan laughed at me. I folded my arms and playfully scowled at him. Ryan wrapped his arms around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him.

"Come on. Don't give me that look" he said nudging my shoulder. "You can't be mad at me"

"Oh bet you I am" I said. He pouted his lips.

"Forgive me" he replied. I shook my head.

"I'm not that bad" I defended myself.

"OK. You're not that bad. By the way, did I tell you you looked sexy and curvy in that bathing suit today?" I still ignored him. "Still not talking to me yet?" Ryan asked.

"Nope" I said popping the 'p'.

He leaned down and kissed my cheek, "Now" I shook my head. He then kissed my nose, "How about now?" He asked again. I shook my head again. He then caught my chin in his hands and crashed his lips to mine. I was taken by surprised but I immediately responded. He licked my bottom lip for entrance and I gave it to him. Our tongues collided and I moaned, wishing I could kiss him forever. He smiled into the kiss. I guess he was feeling proud of himself. The kiss soon turned heated and passionate and I grabbed his head to bring us closer and kissed him hungrily. We pulled apart and he rested his forehead on mine. "Now" he said in a sexy, husky voice.

"Hmmm" I said pretending to think.

"Oh come on. I've tried everything here" he replied.

I couldn't hold it in anymore. I burst out laughing. After my laughing fit, I put back my forehead on his and locked my hands around his neck and smiled at him. "I was just messing with you, baby. I was not mad" I said smiling.

He returned my smile, "You are evil" he said pushing me down on the couch, so that I was now lying down and he hovered over me, his hand resting on both sides of my head. He looked deep into my eyes. "I love you so much, Lindsey" he breath out, his breath fanning my face.

"I love you" I replied looking at him and wondering when I had gotten so lucky. He smiled at me and all I wanted in that moment was for him to kiss me again. He leaned down his head and kissed me again and all thoughts left my head.

I was so happy that I've gotten myself a man and a daughter that I love with all my heart and I will try my best to keep them both in my life forever.
