A few seconds later, Joan and Reg's oldest, Del comes through the door carrying Chinese lampshades, aka a new dodgy Deal he's got at the moment.
"How many times am I going to have to tell you Darling, you cannot rip off people's money by giving them lampshades with a faulty battery in!" Joan complains again, with a slight chuckle at her eldest. "And how many times am I going to have to tell you, you've got to tell dad sooner or later about Rodney." Del walks over, with a cheeky smirk while stroking the top of Rodney's bold, creamy forehead. He may not be too keen on who the father is, but if it's his mother it comes down too, he'll always support her no matter what. "I try too Del, but it seems like every time I do he just doesn't care. About anything or what I have to say." Joan gently presses her chin on her baby with a feeling of uselessness. "Yeah well that's typical of him. I tell you what you need, a cheeky holiday down south. Once these petty lampshades have been knocked up, we'll have enough!" Del offers but before Joan get's the chance to say something, Del is already in another room and she stops herself from spilling her new news. Which she hasn't told Del about yet either. And it creates a huge lump in her chest.
