Taehyung's POV

We just finished putting stuff away from our shopping trip. After that incident in the grocery store, I decided I don't want a driver's license right now. If she hadn't been there with me that whole situation could have been way worse. Dana said I can wait awhile or maybe we can work a driver into the budget. I feel bad about making another bill but maybe I can pay that one.

It's kind of late so I decided to cook dinner. Dana has never made me feel like my place is in the kitchen, but today I really want her to know I am grateful.

I'm not the greatest cook but we won't die of starvation and I can follow a recipe. Dana is taking care of documenting the incident at the grocery store for our caseworker and making some calls. She requested a restraining order on Ms. Lee, she is also requesting charges be filed.

Sadly, even though I was harassed, she must make the request. Not only does she have to make it, but she is technically complaining about her property being disturbed. That's the best she could do but she is trying for an assault since I was touched without her consent. It's not much but if it gets Ms. Lee away from me, she do whatever.

As Dana walks out with a smile on her face and a paper in her hand. I was setting the table with the salad and carbonara that I made.

Dana: Wow Tae this looks great.
She smiles at me as she hands me the papers in her hand.

Taehyung: Thanks. What's this?
I ask as I pull her seat out for her. I set it on the table as I push her up to the table.

Dana: A copy of the temporary restraining order and police report I filed. I got her for assault.
She smiled big and I was happy for her. I knew she would get it.

Taehyung: I'm glad you could. That woman is scary and has a horrible reputation with men. Before I left mothers pulled their son's out of her employ for abuse.

Dana: Were charges ever pressed?
I shake my head.

Taehyung: Most of the mothers needed money and that was why the men worked there. Many just took a settlement payment and their son's.
She looked disgusted and shook her head. Then she began to eat her food.

Dana: This taste amazing. Where did you learn to cook?
I watch as she slurps up a noodle into her mouth. Her tongue darts out to gather the bit of sauce off her lip.

Taehyung: My caregiver said I should be as useful as I am beautiful and as domestic, I am stubborn. It would help me keep a wife.
I smile at the memories of him. I was forever being taught to submit and endure. I know how it's done, but I never liked it.

Taehyung: He was sleeping with my mom when he wasn't caring for me. I don't think they knew that I knew. He always told me pleasing my wife would a go a long way. So, as I got older, he explained things to me, and what signs meant a woman was satisfied. She sent him away when I turned 18. That was when I realized how much he tried to prepare me for life as man. He always said that looks fade and women won't often take an ugly man. He taught me to be well rounded. Even though my mother thought my looks would take me far.
I smile at the memories of his lessons and stories.

We continued to eat, and she listened to my stories. It felt good to talk about him. I never knew my father and my caregiver was around my whole life, until he wasn't. I always wanted to know what happen to him, but I was never able to find out. She just listened not offering an opinion not judging me or my mother.

I know my mother would hate her. Dana is far too liberal, and she works for men's employment rights. My mother believes men should be seen and not heard. I'm sure when she hears I'm not being pimped out somewhere she will be pissed. She always was happiest when she could control everything. She expected me to fail at life when she dropped me off and even told me so repeatedly.
