Small question before the chapter. Where are you guys from? Comment your country.
I am from India.Surya's pov
"Hello....hello....can you hear me Raj" I asked as I came out of the temple. "yeah I can, now tell me which way to take?" came his voice from that side. It was my friend Raj and he was on the way to the temple.
Oh sorry for not introducing myself first. I am Surya living in a Paradise in the name of Pollachi. I am exporting coconuts, I have my own farm and I live in my farmhouse.
Right now I was standing outside of the temple where my cousin's marriage is gonna take place.
"...........and then turn your left and come straight" I gave him instructions and decided to stay out.
Its very irritating to stay inside. And moreover this temple looks breathtakingly beaututiful during this time.
I hate weddings. It is like asking for trouble by our self. Who want to take those unwanted responsibilities when I can live my life happily like this. I have my own farm world where I am the king and have my family and friends who loves me to the core.
I don't know when my legs started walking towards the river, I wanted to stop but its like some unknown power is pulling me there. After standing there for sometimes I decided to return to temple. When I turned, my eyes saw a scene which made me dumbfounded.
What I saw there made me doubt whether I was dreaming. There she is playing with water, like an angel inbetween those flowers, bathing in sunrays. The way she sat there closing her eyes, clad in her red dress with her long hair dancing in the wind and those jhumkas dangling in her ear, made her look like an angel who jumped straight out of heaven. When she opened her eyes something in my heart flickered. I wanted to drown myself deep in her hazel eyes. "WOW" my lips uttered those words by their own.
As I was looking at her she started to turn back, I immediately hid behind the tree which was near me. "why are you hiding?" my inner self asked me. Thats right why am I hiding from her? I am not here to stalk her. I was just watching the beauty of nature I thought to myself. "Ahemm...yes yes he is just watching the nature and nothing else" It was my inner self again. I rolled my eyes and shut it down, sometimes it can be a pain in the a**.
When I came out, there was no one. She is gone just like that. Or is she really a dream? As I was wondering someone patted on my shoulders and said "Why are you looking there like you have seen the ghost". It was my friend Raj. "small correction It was an angel that he was watching" my inner self butted in again. "Thank god he could not hear it" I thought to myself. "Nothing, I was just watching the sun rise. Come lets go inside". I wrapped my arms around his shoulder and pulled him inside the temple as we chatted happily.
The rituals were already started when we entered. We made our way to the front where my cousins were standing. I didn't care to notice the stage as my mind was fully occupied by that riverside angel. "kettimelam kettimelam" I came back to my senses as the priest said those words. As I lifted my hands to throw those flowers my eyes fell on the angel. There she is standing near the bride as the flowers fell on her.
For a second I was really jealous over those flowers. So she is not a dream I thought. With her close proximity to the bride she should be her friend or a close relative.
"Hey what are you thinking so deeply" my brother asked me. "No...Nothing" I replied. Why am I thinking a lot about her like she is the first girl I saw? I shook my head and came out of the temple and we headed for the hotel to get some rest before evening.
