My thoughts were disturbed by the sweet song that played in my mobile to notify a call.
A small smile formed in my lips as soon as I looked at the caller id. The words "chella purusha" (darling husband) blinked in the screen. It was him. All the doubts I had earlier about this marriage vanished within a second. I accepted the call with a little reluctance, as it is the first time I am gonna talk to him.
"Hello, Maadhuri?" a fruity male voice came from other side. I felt shivers up my spine as soon as I heard his voice. No words were coming out of my mouth, I stayed silent not knowing what to say. "Hey, are you there? Am I speaking to Maadhuri?" came his confused voice after few seconds. "Speak you idiot before he cuts the call" said my mind. Ohh shit, I face palmed myself and cleared my throat as no voice is coming from my mouth.

"Hel....Hello" I stuttered. Oh god why is this happening to me, I thought. First I did not reply him and now this stuttering. What will he think of me?.
"I am Surya" he said from the other side. "Yes I know. I have your number" I said in a low voice. He murmured something on the other side.
"um...Actually I called you to ask for a favor, could you please meet me by tomorrow. You can select the place and time" he said.
What....I cannot believe what I heard. our marriage is by next week and here he is, asking for us to meet now. My mom and dad will not accept for us to meet before marriage, as they believe in our old customs a lot.
"Thattt.....my parents will not allow me" I said reluctantly. "Ohh come on.... I have to tell you something very important and I have to tell this before our marriage". He said
I could not refuse him as this is the first time he asked me something, heck this is the first time he even called me. And he also said it is very important, so I agreed to his request.
"Ok, what about tomorrow evening ? I will meet you after my college is over" I said.
"Do you want me to pick you up" he asked.
"No need I will come by myself" I said.
"Sure. Text me the place and time .See you there" with that he disconnected the call.
After that I texted him the place and time to meet tomorrow and went inside to pick a nice dress to wear for the next day.
Surya's pov
Here I am waiting outside of the cafe for the past 10 minutes looking at the on goers hoping it to be her.

I came here half an hour earlier. Yesterday she texted me the name of this cafe which is near TKC college. She said she would meet me after her college. Is she a student? Isn't it too early for her to get married? If she is a student then I have taken the right decision" I thought. I don't know anything about her except her name and mobile number. With the thought of her, my mind drifted to the conversation we had yesterday.
At first I was really reluctant to call her. But after a lot of thinking I called her. She picked up the call after a few rings. "Hello, Maadhuri?" I asked as soon as she accepted the call. But no one answered from the other side. "Hey, are you there? Am I speaking to Maadhuri?" I asked again. Still it was quiet for few seconds. There maybe some signal problems. I decided to call her later. When I was about to hung the call, a sweet voice was heard from the other side. I can feel nervousness in her voice as she stuttered. Oops.. she must be wondering about who I am as I forget to introduce myself.
"I am Surya" I said. "Yes I know. I have your number" she replied in a low voice. She have my number? But why did she not contacted me? If she have called me earlier, then I would have known about this wedding thing a little before and.....I heaved a long sigh as I thought about it. "Gone is Gone" I murmured. After a little thought I asked her to meet me and she accepted. I said her to choose a place and she texted me the address of a cafe which is near her college.
My eyes were roaming here and there when they saw something or probably someone similar to them approaching towards us. Oh yeah, this is that angel girl I saw the other day in temple. She looked nothing less from that day, she looked even more beautiful with her natural face and the saree that she is wearing is making her look gorgeous. "Boss could you please shut your thoughts and mind our business" My inner self smacked me at the right time. Oh yeah, With that I started to look for my so called bride-to-be.
"Hey, I am sorry for being late. Are you waiting for a long time" she asked me as she sat in the sofa which is opposite to mine. Wait..What? Why is this angel talking to me? Is she the girl Maadhuri? Her voice is also as sweet as her. Good choice mom. But I am not the one suitable for her. "No..no.. you are not late. I am a bit earlier" I said to her.
"Actually, I am all set to leave when I was called for a meeting. Otherwise I would have came earlier" she explained herself. Meeting? Is she a lecturer?
"Let us order something first"I pushed the menu towards her I said as the waiter approached us.
She looked at it for a minute and ordered a coffee. I ordered the same and the waiter left after taking our orders.
After that we chatted for few minutes about our work and some general topics. Our order came in the mean time. I decided to execute my plan to meet her.
"So, the reason I asked you to meet me was....." "Maadhuri, is that you" As I was about to tell her someone shouted from the other side as she ran towards our seat.
"Hey Suha!!" Maadhuri said with a big smile and stood up as she saw the girl. They both hugged each other and exchanged pleasantries. She was talking something about working in the same college where she studied when that girl Suha's eyes fell on me. "Maadhu who is this" she asked Maadhuri. Maadhuri turned to look at me after her question.
"Oh sorry for introducing you people. Suha this is Surya, my Fiancee and Surya this is my best friend Suhasini" She introduced us. Her face showing a glimpse of red when she said the word fiancee. "Hi anna(brother), Nice to meet you" Suhasini said as she stretched her hands for a shake. "Hi Suhasini, Nice to meet you too" I said as we shaked our hands.
"Come on have a cup of coffee" Maadhuri said to her friend. "I wish to, But, right now I have some important work to do. Will catch you guys later. Bye, both" She said as she made her way out of the cafe.
"She is my best friend from our childhood. You were about to say something na, what is it?" Maadhuri asked.
"That..." I was really confused about how to say this to her. As far as I have seen her she looked very sensitive. With a blush that appeared when she introduced me I am sure that she have developed some feelings for me in the mean time. I have to choose the words carefully as I didn't want to break her fragile heart with my words.
How will she react once I said it to her?
