"SWANNN!" The chef from outback yells through the hatch. "Take these to table 4 now!"

"Yes sir" I huff as I roll my eyes. I'm tired of being treated so awfully in this job. Like I'm nothing, just a basic waitress girl.

Anyhow, I pick the plates up and rest them on my palms and rest their plate of breads on my arm as I take them to table four.

"Cheeseburger and sweet potato fries" I say placing them on the table without looking. "A tomato soup and a side of bread rolls"

"Emma"

Instantly my eyes look up to see an all too familiar woman who I haven't been able to get out of my mind as of lately.

"Roni" a smile immediately skates across my face. "I've been thinking a lot about you lately"

"Have you now? Why haven't you stopped by the bar yet?" Roni asks, picking up a sweet potato chip and popping it in her mouth.

"I've been busy here and training"

"Training?..."

"SWANNN" everything is getting chaotic. I want so badly to stay and talk to Roni some more, but I have a job to do, and I need to find some way to pay my rent and training course.

I quickly wrote down my number and slid it to her, giving a silent whisper to call me, and boy do I look forward to it.

My shift was long, too long. Full of commands and ignorance and all I think to myself is 'Emma you need this job' of 'Emma get through this and your dreams will come true'. This job is what I need, just to pay for my firefighter course and my rent. But it wasn't enough.

So at the end of my shift, I decided to attempt to have a reasoning with my boss.

"Sir May I have a quick word?" I timidly ask I step into his office. "As you know, I've been a loyal worker for almost two years now, only phoned in sick twice, I'm here 20 minutes early before every shift, beside the point... what I'm trying to ask is .... would it be possible to get a raise at any point? It's just I'm young, I have dreams and goals and my minimum wage isn't going to help with these goals"

"I'm glad you're here actually Swan. I do have something for you." He sits back on his desk chair and adjusts his tie before looking back at me. This could be the moment for me, a promotion, a raise, anything. "You're fired"

"Thank... what now? Fired? Why?" I shriek.

"I saw you today. With that woman, flirting and sliding her notes. Do you think that's appropriate way to act at work with my customers? Absolutely not Miss Swan, you are fired. Now get out of my restaurant" he yells.

So I left. I didn't have much more of a choice did I? He wasn't wrong, I was flirting with the customer but how could I not? She was beautiful! Roni utterly hell my mind on a loop.

I throw my heavy bag to the floor as I enter my apartment, kicking my shoes off and throwing my entire weight onto the sofa. Do you know how hard it is to find a job in Hyperion Hights? It's impossible. I'm totally losing my apartment next.

Hope is lost. I'm totally going downhill from here, I've got nothing, no job, no apartment, no firefighting course. I cannot afford these things anymore, and I certainly can't find a job quick enough to save my ass as well as my apartment and goals.

Just then in my depressing thoughts, my phone pings displaying the only slight glimpse of hope in my future. It's Roni.

Roni: Hey blondie, I just thought I'd text you so you can save my number, hope you had a good shift at work xx ~ Roni.

Then it gives me an idea, I shouldn't be sat at home winging, or sulking about the loss of my job. I shouldn't be home alone and feeling so low, I should be out having some fun.

So that's exactly what I do, with a spring in my step I leap off the sofa to my bedroom and immediately open my wardrobe. Just like the movies, there's clothes flying everywhere, I finally find the one item I've been searching for. A skimpy red dress, painted to my skin, my breasts tumbling over the edge and supported by the flimsy straps. This dress is so dangerously sexy, it's perfect.

So I set off in a taxi to the one place I know where I can get a drink and have a good night. At Roni's, it's New Years Eve, she has to be open and there certainly has to be some kind of party going on.

And as expected the bar was swarming with people, near enough 100 people in this tiny bar easily. The music is blaring as the band members prepare their equipment on stage, strumming their guitars for tester as everyone's fighting to the bar for their first drinks.

And then I see her.

Flawless as ever in her leather black skirt sticking to her thighs and a short glittery black top stopping above her belly button and displaying her sweet little red gem piercing. She's incredible.

She sees me in the door way over the crowd and send me a quick wink, instantly kick starting my heart, and gosh does it send a sweet essence to my core.

Tonight's going to be a good night. I can feel it. Hopefully I'll be entering 2020 with a new friend.
