34 - bored

Before we start this chapter, let's do a short recap...

In the last chapter of Smile, Billie, Bea tells Billie she manipulated her; taking all her time from her dad.

Billie defends herself, and says that wasn't true — all she did was care for Bea.

Billie unfollows Bea and posts a black screen on her Instagram story saying, "don't care for anyone that shit's just mean." This causes fans to lash out on Bea.

Bea then reminisces moments with Billie, then she regrets blaming her. She realises that she's right — it isn't her fault. It was all her decisions.

Now on to Chapter 34...

34 - bored

B I L L I E

11:24 p.m., Los Angeles, California.

"The games you played were never fun
You'd say you'd stay but then you'd run."

I sit at the edge of my bed as I turn up the volume of my music.

I take a deep breath, and carelessly sing loudly,
"Giving you what you're begging for
Giving you what you say I need"

As Bored continues playing in my speakers, I hear the door creak open.

I look, and see Finneas standing by.

"I don't want any settled scores
I just want you to set me free."

"Billie, would you turn that down?"

I turn my music louder in response.

"Giving you what you're begging for
Giving you what you say I need,"

I stare blankly at the ground as I softly sing, "Say I need."

Finneas sighs as he enters my room, then closes my door.

He walks to go in front of me, then he grabs my phone out of my hands.

"Hey!" I say, trying to grab that shit back.

He disconnects my phone from the Bluetooth speakers, leaving the music playing only quietly from my phone.

"I'm not afraid anymore
What makes you sure
You're all I need
Forget about–"

Then, he turns my music off.

I look at him in slight annoyance; eyeing him to give my shit back.
