TF RID: Kitty Bumblebee

Thinking of the Past

Optimus POV

Ratchet had told me the results from the scans earlier. Bumblebee's memory bank is badly damaged program wise. Physically, his memory bank is undamaged which is good. I still worry if Bumblebee can't regain his memories. Although, the memory as to how he lost his voice during the war would be hard for him in the spark when or if he remembers. I remember how he had nightmares of that memory for several cycles. At least Acree managed to help him get the nightmares to stop.

I kept thinking about the past. I was so focused on the past that I hadn't payed any attention to my surroundings. I felt someone lightly tapping my upper chestplate. I snapped out of my thoughts. I looked down and saw Bumblebee playing with his digits. He was looked at the ground as his right ped lightly traced circles in the ground. I felt a strange feeling in my spark at how nervous Bumblebee was. I wasn't familiar with this feeling in my spark.

I asked, "Bumblebee, what's the matter?" Bumblebee looked up at me, nervously. He said, "Well... I... Ididntwanttobotheryouwhileyouwerethinking!!" I stood silent for awhile as I tried to figure out what Bumblebee had said. Ratchet, Drift, Slipstream, Jetstorm, and Windblade were nearby and heard what Bumblebee had nervously said. Ratchet simply said, "Bumblebee, what in the AllSpark did you just said?"

Bumblebee stood silent as he played with his digits and made circles in the dirt with his right ped. His tail was curled up against his body and his ears were down. My worry for Bumblebee grew at his actions. Bumblebee slowly said, "I... I said... I d-didn't want to b-bother you while you w-were th-thinking...." I sighed and said, "Bumblebee, I don't mind if you were to snap me out of my thoughts to tell me something and it certainly isn't something that bothers me." Bumblebee nodded nervously as his actions continued.

I groaned slightly and place my left servo on Bumblebee's helm. I lightly rubbed his helm in an attempt to calm him down. Russell had informed us that most anxious animals usually have other animals around them to calm them down or enjoy calm petting from humans they know and are comfortable being around. In this case, it will be bots. Something started happening that I certainly wasn't prepared for.

Bumblebee had closed his optics and started purring softly. His helm slowly tilting towards my servo. The others weren't sure whether or not Bumblebee could purr like a cat. I blushed fiercily as he continued to lightly purr. I'm not too sure what it is, but when Bumblebee purrs the feeling in my spark aches more. The others stood silently as they clearly didn't know what to say when they found out that Bumblebee could purr. Grimlock, Denny, Russell, Fix-It, Strongarm, and Sideswipe walked over to the control center. They must have heard Bumblebee purring since they quickly looked over at myself and Bumblebee.

Sideswipe said, "Bumblebee can purr?" I nodded as Bumblebee suddenly pushed himself against my chestplate. He started purring louder and went closer to my left servo. I wasn't sure what to do when Bumblebee is acting like this since this is the first time he has done this. I stared at Bumblebee as the strange feeling in my spark ached even worse than before.
